Remember the Movie Maniacs retailed at $7.99 or something like that. I think $16.99 is way out of line for these figures. That's way more than keeping with inflation.

Yeah I had pumpkinhead,Norman bates, brundlefly, ghostface and more. Nowadays I wouldn't pay $1 for his new stuff. Not just for quality but because I don't know where I'd put them! They're shameful besides my other stuff.

Movie Maniacs those were the good old days, Movie Maniacs 4 T800 was my first figure and it spun out to everything else I own now which is ALOT.

I do still miss Movie Maniacs but sadly series 5 was the beginning of the end, I did pick up the Dracula boxset which I do actually like.

Finally saw these at TRU, the movie version looks better than the comic version. Almost bought Grimes since I had $5 reward, could of got him for $10 but I got MVC3 mini mates Dante and Deadpool instead for $4 :rock

Also, we went from this

to that, is also pretty embarrassing. McToys used to be the kings of paint apps.com

I was hyped up for the figures after seeing that promo shot last year.

Saw them in my local comic book shop and wow, theyre like childrens toys, very poor moulding, paint application and look like mass produced rubbish. No care or attention. Although, if they are using manufacturers with child labour.......

I started selling collectible figures and toys because of Spawn and Star Wars, but it was pretty much Movie Maniacs that generated the whole collectable adult toy line.Without Movie Maniacs there would never have been NECA,NECA only took off after they picked up the licences that Mcfarlane never did like Hellraiser. I will never ever understand why Mcfarlane chose to make 5" Walking Dead figures when every one wants 6/7" figures this could have been the rebirth for Mcfarlane with movie Maniacs 2.0

I recently re-stumbled across the old McFarlane Monsters series this week on ebay. I can't believe how far McFarlane has fallen. 10 Years ago for $9-13 (on the high end!) we go something like this:

And now for $15+ we get Hasbro rejects? I mean the monster figures is what I think many of us were expecting when McF got the license. So sad at the wasted potential. :(

:thwak: Looking at the latest Marvel Universe Hulk, I wouldn't even insult Hasbro like that. :nono

I think you might be looking at McFarlane through rose-colored glasses. They had more than their fare share of "QC problems", they make Hot Toys look like. . . well, McFarlane had a lot of problems.
