I was just going to post his picture!

Sorry coco, to use yours as an example, please forgive me.

It doesn't not look angry no matter how you paint it. Coco did an amazing job, as he pointed the eyes slightly upward like the medicom.. but the sculpt is just not angry enough.. and plus the jaws a bit wide.

here was my attempt.

Damn! Yours looks better than Coco's

Found an image of Coco's... hope he doesn't mind me reposting it.

And just to be clear, I really do think the Medicom figure is great looking... but it does have a few shortcomings. I'm just prodding Chavez 'cause he's being an absolutist about everything :lol

There's those monkey arms that I never missed! And check how cheap his outfit looks.

Monkey arms, or giraffe neck... its all part of the wild kingdom.

I guess we all see what we want to see... later ladies :lol

Those are some great repaints in any case, guys! thumbs up! For all the boo-hoos that the SS Maul gets, I think they got the shape of the head right. Medi Maul's head doesn't look quite as accurate when compared to the actually actor in make-up.

But they're both the bee's knees, you know? :D

ugh, chavez you claimed that the Medi Maul detractors were biased, but you seem to be guilty of that too, and putting "imo" in front of your SS bashing doesn't make you any less so.

I'm just glad we have that much of a variety of toys to collect.. I'm defintely going to use the SST belt and sabers.. thats about it though.. the rest will go into the extra parts section of my room.

SSC Maul's arms are proportional to his body. They specifically made that correction on the short body.

It seems just about everyone (with one exception) sees the merits and deficiencies of both figures and it just depends on which merits you value and which deficiencies most bug you as to which figure you prefer.

Personally, excluding price, I'd say I prefer Medicom, for the more expressive face and the risk-taking with the costume material. But that's just my opinion. Everyone's opinion (with one exception) is of value.

I'm just tired of the damned bloody debate.

"Medicom is better!"

"Sideshow is better!"

You're comparing simular, but not quite the same products. Both have their advantages, both have their flaws, neither is perfect. I'm quite happy with both Sideshow, and Medicom. Both require some work, and futzing and the like to look 'proper' in many cases.

I find that Medicom is not quite worth the $150 price tag, And Sideshow is approaching that 'not quite worth it', but we'll see with the new bodies and armoured figures.

Medicom has nice armoured figures, and a nice poseable body, but I like the outfits on Sideshow better.

So.. NYAH.
