Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

I saw these at my LCS today and they looked pretty good.

Does anybody know if they are going to make any more in the series?

The Hush version of Harley Quinn is my favorite and I would buy a figure of her in a second.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

Time to chime in.
When I received my Batman this week and opened him up I wasn't too thrilled. I wasn't a fan of the vinyl costume and he didn't look great in a vanilla position. The more I started posing him though, the more I grew to really like this figure. The Hush run of the Batman comics reignited my love of the character. I am now more than happy to have the Medicom Batman in my collection. Can't wait to add Sideshow's version as well as Hot Toy's Arkham Batman.

Here are some pictures I took today. The first 3 are the same pose with different lighting. In the last he is joined by a "friend".

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

Sweet, more pics. Thanks Alan :D

I'm still not the biggest fan of the cape, but the torso, although still on the skinny side, doesn't look too bad. Head sculpt & suit still look nice to me. BBTS has shipped mine. Not sure when I'll be getting it 'in hand'.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

I just received mine from BBTS and will have a review online in the next couple of weeks (before Christmas). It actually looks a bit odd in package, but once out and posed and futzed with properly, it can be really striking IMHO...

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

It may be a bit odd looking at first, but I think the strength of this figure, and most Medicom releases, is that they really do look like 3D representations of comic book/anime characters. People are a bit used to the realism at this point, but the proportions of this Batman make me think of something only possible in a comic book and that's a good thing given what they were going for.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

As expected, it looks a bit better in the new pics. Still not amazing, but not as lanky as in the vids we saw earlier.

I don't like the cape at all, though.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

i dunno what exactly it is but something about this figure looks horrible to me. like i think it looks sorta terrible. and the thing is, i love jim lee's batman comic look, but this to me just doesnt capture that at all. after seeing the reviews for it, i'm unfortunately gonna have to pass on this. bummer, cause i was initially hyped about it.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

The waist is not as much of a problem to me as the shoulders. They're just way too broad. Along with the cape, it's a pass for me, but since it's Batman, not an easy one.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

I think the upper body looks great. To me it is the legs that seem somewhat dinky in comparison.

thats kinda where i am with this too. im sticking with my preorder and im still looking forward to it. im sure with the right 'futz' he will be more than passable.

Looks like an awesome comic-book figure! :clap

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

Looks better in those photo's than the recently posted video review, but still, it doesn't impress me. I know it's Medicom, but the proto's seemed somewhat ok. The final figure is a bit of a et down to me.

No offence to anyone who bought it. :lecture

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

Just got done photographing the heck out of this figure - with the right futz, this is a very "passable" figure and - no matter what some thing - a very very nice rendition of Jim Lee's HUSH Batman.

The only major issues I see are the legs are about 10-15% too small and could use a bit more meat (though Lee did draw Batman's legs thin compared to his arms/upper body) and the lack of poseability due to the tight fitting bodysuit.

Besides these two issues, the figure is very nice and, while some will say "save your $160," for die-hard batman fans and especially fans of HUSH Batman and Jim Lee, this is a really nice addition to a collection...especially when futzed and posed.

One thing I noticed immediately upon photographing this figure: Jim Lee's version of Bats is very much inspired by Bob Kane's original, especially the cape. The face is completely Lee, but the uniform
and cape especially is a lot like Bob Kane's original Bats.

Good to hear crowinghorse!
I look forward to seeing your pics.
Yeah, the legs look a little small/thin, and I agree with an earlier post from the Batman Professor, the shoulders are too broad. But fans of HUSH may tend to overlook that. After all, the sculpt is pretty damn good.
I can't wait to see some in hand pics of the Joker!

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

It looks a little disappointing once you get it out of the box. But...once you start spending a little time posing it, it really does look good. I needed something other then a black suited batman in my 1/6 scale collection. More along the lines of the comic book verse, then the movie verse.
I'm happy with it. :)
I'll post a pic or two soon.

Almost 50 images of the figure HERE.
