Don't look too deeply into what Sunny said at the end of MGS 4 - it's just a coincidence. None of the MGS games created thus far have been planned ahead of schedule, and I don't expect that tradition to be broken with "Rising".
Plus, if the picture below is any hint at all, "Rising" will take place before the conclusion of MGS 4.

maybe the game will be happening at the same time that MGS4 is happening. Kinda like RE2 and RE3.
Yeah, but just to be clear, it's not a sig that I take credit for. Someone over at the PSU forums made it, and I thought that it was the funniest thing that I've seen in quite a while (see the link below, and give the dude a "kudos" if you can). yeah that would be a possibility. maybe have he and otacon have a little side mission while snake is running around in MGS4.

You're right. Raiden was actually doing some side work for Big Mamma (Eva) in MGS 4 - he was helping her to recover Big Boss' body.
No, I believe that Raiden spent his free time slicing and dicing himself - remember, he's the king of Emo. How else do you think he lost his entire body?
But, the thing that I really found funny, is that Raiden's face in MGS 4 was virtually unblemished. What a narcissist!

Nope actually it wasn't. LOL, I didn't put two and two together with that being the last line, and the new MGS being called Rising.
I don't care what the new MGS game is called, as long as we get one. I'm replaying through MGS2 and I don't mind Raiden at all, I'm having a ball. The only thing I hated about the game was Raiden's and Rose's boring conversation about how he neglects her. Shut up biznitch, I wanna play the damn game.
Rose annoys me, constantly asking Raiden, "Jack, do you remember what day it is tomorrow?".
And not to mention that their names "Jack" and "Rose" were way too reminiscent of Titanic for my tastes.
