Damn I hate Raiden.

I used to think that it was impossible for Raiden to look more feminine, than he did in MGS 2 and MGS 4. I WAS WRONG!

But, besides that, I never really hated Raiden. His emo behavior always cracked me up, and he was pretty bad-ass in MGS 4. As long as he doesn't replace Snake, I'm cool (which I'm not, by the way, since he IS replacing Snake in "Rising" ).

But, if I may add: it is Raiden's exoskeleton suit that allows him to perform all of those feats.

If one of the Village People showed up and did the same thing, I wouldn't like him or think he was "cool" because of it. Raiden sucks.

Yeah i was really hoping for a PS3 Big Boss release,2 games with Big Boss(Counting Peace Walker) is something that should have been on PS3,i doubt many prefer Raiden over Big Boss on PS3.

Why couldn't they just retire this franchise and do more original games? Oh wait, it makes money, and sells consoles. I hope that answers your question, Karamazov. PSP needs Big Boss more than the consoles.

Based on your logic then, the best bet would be to release Big Boss games on all systems and forget Raiden ever existed, since Boss will move systems and Raiden, presumably, won't. I agree with that, by the way.

Well, Kojima wanted to tell two stories. Konami wanted two big games in its release stable. Because one will do well on TWO platforms (360 and PS3), they relegated the character with ostensibly lower appeal to the game on both consoles, while the PSP, which is arguably dragging in sales, gets the big dog.

On a tangential note, there's a possibility that MGS Rising will end up selling more than MGS4.

I can imagine how much the neck will kill me after many hours looking down on a PSP.I will have to get a PSP now that we won`t see Big Boss back ever again as the remaining story is being told in the PSP games,Foxhound in the first,and now the beginning of Outer Heaven in "Peace Walker".

Rising is just a spin off. Kojima said it himself - peace walker is the next true game in the series.

Yes. The PSP Slim (models 2000 t0 3000 and probably the PSP Go) has video output to a TV. You'll have to buy the appropriate cables separately though.
