I think Kojima should remake the first two Metal Gear games. That would be a good continuation for where the story line in Peace Walker left off - with Big Boss's speech to "Outer Heaven".

Well it seems like with MGS5, it's the final brick laying for Outer Heaven since it's set in Africa. There is no more room in the Big Boss universe after this. Big Boss is probably what, close to 50 in MGS5? Peace Walker he was 39. Has the year of that been revealed?

The artwork and screens show he is not wearing The Boss's bandana anymore. I knew immediately when they showed that one screen of the man in question (Big Boss) looking at a APC driving by and I can see the eye patch strap on the back of his head.

I really think if they remade the MSX games it would be much like how MGS3 was where you find out that the CO is actual the traitor. It would be great to go back to the survival gameplay from MGS3 but heightened.

Where have you guys seen these pictures?

Just look up any footage of Kojima demostrating the Fox engine. It's actually for MGS5. You'll see a man that the player is playing as and we found out it's actually Big Boss. No official MGS5 shots have been released other than the artwork I believe.

nice, thanks for posting that. Have not played Peace Walker yet but I'm finally going to get around to picking up the HD collection this week.

Aside from some bugs, HD Collection definitely is worth picking up. Glad I snagged the Limited Edition before inflation, holy ____ like 200$ on eBay.

Damn, I'm planning on picking up the regular HD game, and then getting the artbook off ebay to complete my collection. Those artbooks are a Metal-head's best friend for customizing 1/6 MG stuff.

Hoefully they don't keep the ponytail but it looks true

Hopefully this is the last BigBoss adventure. Since it is set in Africa before OuterHeaven.

My other concern is that they continue making him turn out to be the good guy all along, which will ____ all over the series imo.
If they do that then it'll make Snake a tool of the Patriots ____ing up BigBoss' plan to destroy them

I know what you mean. I hate how Solid Snake turned out to be the real "bad guy" of the MGS series, while Big Boss, Liquid, Solidus and Ocelot were "good" because they wanted to put an end to the Patriots' control over the world. Kojima kinda messed up the narrative there.

And it turns out Kojima isn't even happy with MGS4 and didn't play out the way he wanted due to the Koji team vetoing his ideas. I remember he wanted Otacon and Snake executed which would of been such a powerful scene. I was literally stunned when Snake put the gun in his mouth... then Big Boss had to poke his ____ing ass in it the last second...

The Big Boss obsession is ridiculous. Solid Snake is the much better character. Also Zombie I know what you mean. But, I remember reading this will be dealing with the drug trade of the 80's he needs the ********* ponytail, it was the style lol.

BigBoss just whines about TheBoss all the time. Thats the only reason he did anything, and by misconstruing her philosophy he became a bad guy.

Solid Snake(starting from MGS1) retired soldier left to live a life of solitude while plagued with PSTD, after killing his friend and mentor/father figure.
forced out of retirement he once more has to face MetalGear. All the while learning to fight for humanity and fall in love.
His character continues to grow, when he creates philanthropy and becomes an iconic figure and a true cause.

I could go on and on but Snake shows true character development throughout the series, while any ideas BigBoss ever got was seemingly stolen from everyone around him :S

so...it's okay for Dave to be traumatized by killing his mentor, but not Big Boss? makes sense.

Dave gets forced out of retirement, Big Boss is continually forced out of seclusion, Dave fights for humanity, and Big Boss fights for soldiers...also Big Boss falls in love too. ;)

bottom line is Dave would be NOTHING without Big Boss, and every trait he has he inherits, he has the same virtues as Big Boss...he just applies them differently.

Lets agree to disagree on that one. I think Solids brooding character is alot more likable than bigboss. Also i love how much of an _______ he is lol

but realtalk BigBoss' traits were all copied from Solid since the series started with him. The only reason the series went back to BigBoss was because Kojima never intended to continue the story of MGS2

Seriously can't say that better. All Big Boss apparently is Snake with a mean beard in the 60s who has Mommy issues. After the prequels, I find him HIGHLY overated and in no way is he superior to Solid Snake and vice versa, that debate is moot. Two different eras, two different technologies but would fair in the battlefield the same if they were switched.

I like Big Boss don't get me wrong. But too many things about the previous games, previous script, echos into Big Boss. Hence Snake is the mold, not Big Boss.

I liked BigBoss alot more in MGS1. He was a main character without even appearing in the game! He is obviously a strong character but i can't help but feel it was lacking in the prequels as much of the mystique was gone. They were also less interesting than SolidSnakes adventures.

Peacewalker had some awesome stuff storywise around the last boss fight though

I think the series would have actually been better without the addition of Peace Walker. Portable Ops had already answered the question as to how Big Boss was able to finance the making of Outer Heaven, and that was a good premise to start off with the next Solid Snake chapter (aka. a remake of one of the original Metal Gear games).

Plus, if the storyline for MGS 1 and MGS 2 were to hold true, the AIs in Peace Walker were just way too advance for their time. Even the Peace Walker mech was capable of wiping the floor with REX and RAY, given all of its offensive capabilities.
