id say it wouldnt be an exclusive, look how huge it is! if it was small enough to fit in one of those then bb would be smaller than a kubrick. right?
It does look like something that comes with a game.
The size could be deceptive, theres nothing really in shot to compare it to. There would hopefully be other stuff in the box to pad it out to make room for the statue . A bandana, eye patch, art book, soundtrack ect. Id splash out real money on a real collectors edition

It's all about angle, lighting, and the temperature of the room... wait a minute never mind.

Statue looks to be made of either polystone or plastic. Also looks very rough, like its not supposed to be painted. Its a very odd display too.

Wow that collection of rocks looks kinda like Big Bo...........oh wait.
It's a strange choice of a statue, that's for sure. Looking at the size of the diorama, I can guess that the statue will be small by comparison.

It's not for retail.
I believe they were custom made as gifts to give Kojima and Shinkawa when they were in Paris to give a master class at the Grand Palais. While there they also did an interview with metalgearsolid.be, and i believe that was when they were given the statues.
Back then, it was just the statue of BB. But they have since expanded on it.

I had been holding out for a more complete MGS collection and after seeing this xbox/ps3 malarkey and lack lustre recent collection I jumped on the HD one.
Never done a MGS game twice. I just don't do games twice. Once the stories done I don't revisit.............until now!
