No chance mate, I couldn't paint to save my life.
She asked me to help paint the house once. She paints now.

I feel your pain my friend... :lol

I still have an unpainted Dexter head by xeno. It has been with me for 2-3 years already and I have no clue what to do with it especially as I don't do bashing anymore.

Im hoping the bronze looks better in hand. Its the first one out of them all i wasnt very keen on. Not sure what kojima is doing. I wonder what the whole bronze thing is all about, i mean what is the significance to the game? Maybe theyll be a huge statue of him somewhere in the game.........maybe im reaching. I wish hed release a proto version of each, imo its the best way these things look.

It's ***** Snake. Fan reception was so high on the MGS4 Johnny scenes, surely Big Boss covering himself in horse poop will be a big highlight!

This only further confuses me on them not releasing an actual figure of REX. The detail here is fantastic, even better than 3As Rex. Why waste it on a model kit, which IMO is a lesser product

I won't say the model kit is a lesser product, on the contrary. Beside the smaller scale, it best 3A Rex on many points, like aritulations and details.
It would be awesome to have this kit upscale to the size of the figure.

OD green with brown pattern ? Definitely looking forword to the completion of you jungle(?) theme REX.

Yes, this is the goal. I always though Rex in jungle camo would look more military/agressive ;)

So far so good:

Wait a second, with real time horse pooping, that figure simulates Big Boss getting pooped on.

Amazing paint there.

I wont pay more than $200 for a variant and it has to seem really scarce. The metallic version seemed like it had the smallest run. If this is a comic con version there will be plenty to wait for. No way am i paying more than $140.

I still laugh at people who paid far more than retail for blue Raiden when I just casually walked up to Square's booth at NYCC, saw blue Raiden and went 'ooh he looks cool' and got him cause I was playing MGS 4 at that time, then went online after that weekend and saw people had paid ridiculous amounts to get him and that he was so hard to find. Even harder than White Raiden apparently :rotfl

What's that variant of Boss even called? Desert camo or something dumb? Bronze? I don't even get why we're getting that but not the regular painted version

Well it isn't really that, it's just I saw him for far lower than White Raiden on ebay, so I never understood why people claimed he was so much harder to get than White Raiden or even why White Raiden was far more reasonable to get if he was exclusive to Europe.

Blue raiden was hard to get because it was only available at SDCC and NYCC. He was harder to get than white raiden because only 1000 were made whereas there were something like 25,000 white Raidens made, and Zavvi dropped the price on the white Raiden multiple times.

The reason blue is lower on Ebay is because most of the people selling White Raiden had to buy it from Zavvi and pay a $40 premium for shipping along with the high price (you could only get them shipped to the US with the high price. They stopped shipping them to the US after they lowered the prices). You have to remember the premium package was already high because it was bundled with the game, so people are trying to make up for the cost of it. So really by the time a US seller got the thing, the whole package was like $180. If the sold off the game they still have to charge about $150 to make up for the cost + ebay and paypal fees.

actually I heard Blue Raiden was available at numerous conventions, like London MCM Expo

Convenient that people (not on here, on some sites and blogs I've read) always left out everything you mentioned; people just tell me 'it's in Europe, import fees' and stuff, nothing about Zaavi and $40 premium + shipping. Thanks for the info though. I think I also read that 25,000 other Raidens, the Red variant to my knowledge, not sure about Yellow, were also made, is that true as well?

no, apparently the yellow sold out instantly and the red is still available everywhere, both were a 1000 es. i think the white was 14,000 and black was about 25,000, blue was 1000 also.

heres a snippit from metal gear wiki:

The next set announced by Square Enix Products is Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance with the announcement of a Raiden figure posted on Kojima's Twitter account on February 2012. A color prototype was revealed to the public at San Diego Comic Con '12. Raiden comes with his high-frequency blade, sheath, survival knife, 3 kunai, kunai pouch, changeable visor head piece, a pair of extra hands, a pair of extra feet and a display stand. Raiden was originally planned for February 2013 release but was instead released in March 2013.

The next figure announced is a re-release of Raiden, this time in the White Armor attire that he wears in the game via DLC. Although the figure isn't counted as a limited edition it was only obtainable via limited editions of the game: the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Premium Package (Konamistyle exclusive) and the European limited edition. The European version is limited to 14,000 units worldwide. The figure was released on the game's Japanese and European release date of February 21, 2013.

3 limited editions have been announced for this set. All being re-releases of Raiden, but based on the 3 custom bodies of Yellow, Red and Blue that were unlock-able in the game. Each one is limited edition to 1000 units worldwide and region exclusive to certain websites and conventions.

Custom Body Red ver. is exclusive to the USA and to websites Anime-Island, Hobby-Fan, Toy Let, BigBadToyStore and Diamond Comic Distributors.

Custom Body Yellow ver. is exclusive to Japan and websites KONAMISTYLE, Amiami, Hobby Search, HobbyLink Japan and Square Enix Shop Japan.

Custom Body Blue ver. is exclusive worldwide. It can be purchased only at Guangzhou '13, Japan Expo '13, ChinaJoy '13, San Diego Comic Con '13, Tokyo Game Show '13, New York Comic Con '13 and MCM London Comic Con '13.

Body Yellow ver. was released on May 2013, while Custom Body Red ver. and Custom Body Blue ver. were released on July 2013.

A modified version of the original Raiden figure, sporting series creator Hideo Kojima's face instead of Raiden's, respectively, was supplied to Kojima by Square Enix Products as a gift. He would also place the head of his Solid Snake figure too for a joke.
