Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

You mean westernizing. This is the main reason MGS4's gameplay was a joke since it was made way too easy. You can thank Ryan Payton for that.

It should of never left top down view.

I dont know that I agree with all of that but Peace Walker is clearly the easiest and most watered down in the series. You can be in full sprint right up to an enemy and he will never hear your steps. So long as your prone your health regenerates and it has the most repetitive missions sometimes. Add all of that to a just plain stupid story with the worst bosses in the series and characters that make you want to jump out a window and you have yourself the worst MGS ever made.

Well I'm comparing it to the other 3 previous games. But yeah without question PW was the easiest of all of them.

I am grateful they did, I never heard anyone complain about that.

I look at this game as a reboot to the franchise in terms of gameplay and I am fine with that. I think most people will be taking a lot of things back when this game comes out.

Delusional statement. Since MGS4, the stories have becoming predictably bad. You won't be taking anything back because you've been it clear you don't give a **** enough about the franchise to criticize it.

You're a dudebro through and through.

You crack me up man ( I am being serious not sarcastic). In the end I love the series but I think I love these conversations more but I still love MGS4 and no one can take that from me!!!!

Well the gameplay is fun, but the challenge isn't there. Extreme mode is a joke compared to the previous games. The story is terribly. To each his own.

Thats fine just realize your favorite is a ****

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Correct on all points. The far beyond the 20th century tech in the 1970s is the biggest blunder I believe, in the entire series. He essentially undermined and retconned every main series title.

The outright disrespect toward Hayter, and going for star appeal with Sutherland.

Kojima has been a very hated man, and he should be.

I find Metal Gear to be bigger than Hayter. If he’s in or not does’t change anything for me. I am glad Kojima isn’t doing what most others in position would do because of the outcry.

MGS4 and MGS2 are tied in my mind for the best character designs for Snake. I wish Playarts would get on it for the two of them.

Thats fine, I am sure you won’t buy and play this game because would want to own a game with a peto as the main character right?

Keep them? I maybe wrong but the only person that has actually been brought back after fan backlash was David Bateson as Agent 47 and boy was the game better because of it.

I don't necessarily agree, although MGS2 Snake is the best design overall.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I just dont believe copying Splinter Cell is the way to fix that

I have never played a Metal Gear game but I have seen some videos. Taking from that games gameplay but putting it Metal Gear is okay with me. Game play had always been the weakest part of the series in my opinion since 2.

If you're not attached to David Hayter at this point you need a cat-scan.

I'm SURE you said that in 2001.

You are correct.

I have a full shelf of Metal Gear games from NES to now and MGSV will not be joining them until they change my mind.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Metal Gear has its own charm who cares, the first game to the fourth had things like that in them. If Kojima included them or didn’t I can careless. All I care about is the story and gameplay and this seems like the most ambitious metal gear yet.

I couldn't care less.

#grammar fail.
