Don't know about any of you, but I got Ground Zeroes for both 360 and PS3 via Redbox and had a blast with it. Damn fun, can't wait for Phantom Pain now.

Most of us feel the same, TPP could be the the greatest game of all time!

it might be good but not greatest gsme of all time you need everything to be perfect dont see that happening.

Well, I think MGS1 is the greatest game of all time, but so far my only gripe with the gameplay, is the wall knock feature being removed, which is being addressed. If the story and and performances are as good as the gameplay and graphics, then it could possibly dethrone MGS1 in my opinion.

Good choices, krec. Ocarina of Time was ethereal, and FFVII was immensely fun back in the day. I might even add FFVI and Chrono Trigger to that list.

I’ve never been a fan of the FF series, the gameplay is not for me, Ocarina of Time has awesome gameplay but I never really enjoyed anything else, Skyrim I got bored after about 2 hours, I found the main campaign’s story to be pretty weak. Not saying those games aren’t great, but I’ve never been a fan of any of them. I like more cinematic experiences, and games a little more mature, Uncharted 2, God of War 1 and 2, MGS1-4, RE 1 and 2 and GTA3 are among my favorite games of all time. Most of those games i feel are pretty perfect, or just fall short of it.

I’ve been having tons of fun with GZ, if TPP is 200x bigger I can certainly see it being one of the best games ever.

lol everygame you just named i really don't like besides Metal gear and RE then again its all subjective.

These crazy theory's man. I think the Chico is Paz is ridiculous, just the usual grasping at straws like OldSnake is BigBoss from MGS4.

But the one about BigBoss father or brother, if he had any, coming into the picture... I wouldn't put that past Kojima

Yea, it is, all the games you listed are classics, just not my kind of games.

Yea, I doubt it true, but the video makes a strong case :lol

I see potential in TPP to become the best MGS game since MGS1 definitely.

About JRPGs, I never got into them, then only JRPGS I've played and enjoyed were the Golden Suns for Gameboy advance.

Wonder when will the soundtrack be available, the score is fantastic, there is one track that reminds me a lot to Cavern from MGS1, just a moody track.

Every MGS game has that potential :lol. People were saying that ad nauseam in the MGS 4 lineup, and I even believed it, myself. Then, they were saying it again for the launch of Peace Walker. But, I firmly believe that no MGS game can match the level of originality as the first MGS - especially since it's the forefather of all cinematic video games. Furthermore, if TPP is merely an extension of the experience from Ground Zeroes (with bigger maps, more side-quests, and more cinematics), then I beg to differ.

But, man... there were some great JRPGs back in the day. You should definitely try out Chrono Trigger and FFVI, at least.

I want to try Chrono Trigger real bad, BUT I have a fixation where I need to play games on their original consoles, and have you seen how much CT costs for the SNES? :lol I can buy like 20 SNES consoles for that.

I can completely see TPP being right up there with MGS1 or maybe at least above any other MGS, if it's just an extension of GZ provided it gets a ****ing great storyline.

But you're right, MGS1 is just stupidly good.

At least we know the gameplay will be improved even more, and with added and returning features, I hope the story gets robust and compelling.

Gameplay in GZ is the pinnacle of MGS gameplays, the story is what's gonna make it or break it.

I gotta say MGS is my favourite game of all time, so I find it hard to believe another one can be as good. Maybe TTP will be the 2nd best metal gear (on par with MGS2 ;p) we'll have to wait and see.
I do at least believe MGSV is MGS back to form. MGS1 was the most serious game if try series before now, so I like

The game-play in GZ was fantastic. KojiPro just need to reintroduce cardboard boxes, the knocking feature, and a few in-game tutorials and the game-play will be perfect :lecture. I have to say, that the one thing that I'm hopeful for about TPP's storyline, is that it may finally set the canon right for MGS 4. It was so weird how Big Boss was portrayed as a misunderstood hero at the end of that game, and it practically threw Solid Snake under the bus as some bastard who just got in his way of defeating The Patriots. But, I love how Kojima now wants to recreate Big Boss into an "evil" that will threaten the world. Hearing that crazy Japanese man talk about an absolute like "evil" has really rekindled my hope. Maybe I'm looking too much into it, but I'm all for a reboot of this nonsense if it can finally return some coherence into the overall storyline for the series.

I say no tutorials man! Just like the old days, make you figure stuff up on your own, I was amazed at the variety of CQC moves I discovered on my own in MGS4.

I don’t think the wall knock is coming back, but a new form of distracting guards is most likely being implemented in TPP, but I don’t need those small nods to make me feel this is a MGS game, as long as the gameplay, story, mission structure and boss battles are awesome, then it will pretty much feel like MGS to me.
