I wished Kojima was allowed to do something not Metal Gear. The man is a genius and a visionary yet a prisoner to his own child.
I don't think he's capable of breaking fourth walls anymore with MGS. If it's any indication from MGS V, the theme of revenge has already been largely overplayed in pop-culture (eg. the Taranteno films, Breaking Bad, etc). So, it's not like Kojima's doing anything new with this game, and he's certainly not going to pioneer a new "culture" of games by his recent fetish on violence - done for the sake of pure shock value. In fact, I'd say that TLOU has probably done more for the culture of gaming, than Kojima could ever hope to achieve with MGS V.
His talents are really being stagnated with this series, it's not even funny anymore.
