You can free-roam any time you want in African and Afghanistan. Just check your Side-ops list, and the options should be there.

Yes you do. You can drop at Africa, Afghanistan or MB at any moment.
The story's over after Mission 46. All that's left after that is building your base, and S ranking the missions...
Allthough i liked the ending,a very surprising twist and makes sense with the poor character development,it was the biggest dissappointment a MGS fan could have.Last game in the series and you don't get to play as Big Boss. It's like...You don't really care how it turned out afterwards,it just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth to be honest. It's MGS2 all over again.Way to cheat MGS fans after a long wait.
Makes sense why Miller was so bitter through the entire game, but how cool would it be to see Miller and Big Boss together again in a last game?
Tal lujuria por la venganza, QUIEEEEEEEEEN?
*laughs in Mexican*
No, it's worse than MGS2 because unlike MGS2, this doesn't have a point. The twist is there just because.

That's pretty much how I feel, too. It would've been much better if it was actually Big Boss, and not some Medic that I possibly Fulton'd from Peace Walker . But, I'd say the twist in this game was much worse than MGS 2, because Raiden at least had a very interesting backstory
What really sucks, is that with all of the plot holes and cut content, we'll never have any closure for MGS V. This is it for MGS...
I've actually stopped playing this now, i finished Chapter 1 and just can't see it through to the end.
It all seems like a big missed opportunity and its such a shame, really.
