Just picked this up today for PS4.....of course I don't have the actual PS4 system yet. I preordered this awhile ago assuming I'd have the system by now, kinda put the cart before the horse on this one.

thats nothing! I had Bf4, COD Ghosts, Last of Us remastered, and assassins creed Black Flag all before I got the console
Target had one of those awesome buy 2 get 1 free sales on PS4/XB1 titles so I couldn't resist. When I finally ended up getting a PS4 it was with the Destiny Bundle so thats all I've played besides shadow of mordor. I'll never have a shortage of games though it seems!
Game looks pretty fantastic on the PS4...you all will not be disappointed. And once the game loads, going between area to area is not bad at all....
This game changes big time once you unlock brand.
Brand is what again? I know I've seen that term

about half way through the game now. Hmm. Bit like infamous second son in that it's a bit too samey and not enough challenge. It's ok. Not seeing an 85 overall like this is on metacritic.

Celebrimbor skin, not the wraith version but the clean one, the CGI scene where he fights of Saurons Orcs and then Sauron himself was pretty epic, an Aragorn skin would be awesome haha....

Just finished the main story, and I have to say it wraps up nicely. I just wish the three big boss battles were a little more difficult.
Evil Within looks awesome, I'd say pick this up there's plenty to do, but not enough to take up 2 weeks. You'll be finished with it just in time.

Nonetheless, they purposely dropped "Lord of the Rings" from the title because they're going for their own thing here.
It's a lot like Arkham, where it gradually get's easier the more you upgrade and unlock things.

branding allows you to use wraith powers to enslave almost any uruk you come across. I say almost any because I haven't tried it on a chief yet. After a while of branding uruks I now can't run through an area without at least 15 friendly uruks and friendly captain in the area
Just wish the damn caragors would stop munching on my new army!

Yeah, they make sure that you cant use it on war chiefs and the stronger captains.
I dont doubt you can't use it on the war chiefs since I'm pretty sure the point is to make one of your captains chief in his place. Though I haven't come across a captain yet that I couldn't dominate. Even the ones that say "you will have to kill this one" are easily grabbed when low health or when you use their fears against them.

Maybe its justhe bodyguards. I ran into a war chief that had a group of captains with him and none of them seemed to be brandable.

you can dominate warchiefs and make them your ally, you just go to the blue markers after doing so.

I would like to see more Middle Earth games from Monolith, if they do another game I hope they allow us to travel to different parts of Middle Earth like the Shire, Rohan and Gondor as well as Mordor and maybe Valinor
I think it would be great if there was more of a RPG type aspect to the interactions, and we could enter cities/castles/towns or defend them from invasions and speak with the inhabitants to get missions from them or help them out
Visiting cities like Rivendell, Erebor, Bree, Isengard and Minas Tirith would be pretty awesome

There's a great framework here for combat here's hoping with the success of this title we get a 2nd that goes more in depth in regards to locations and NPC.

They might not. It's just something I'd like to see. We haven't had a good game representing the movie Trilogy since ROTK. Obviously nothing for The Hobbit since those are new. I have not finished it. I'm just to the point of the black captain.
As long as their "own" thing respects the lore then that's fine.
