^Yup that happens too. Is there any method on how long or what it takes for the Warchiefs to be replaced? There's a trophy for killing them all before any get replaced since I've got 2 down now I want to try and get the trophy before someone gets promoted.

I'm not sure. I went to take them all out once I knew their weaknesses and got it. I think if you can take them all out without dying it doesn't have to be super quick.

Seems a bit like overkill. :lol I did get to 110-115 something like that fighting one of the new War Chiefs yesterday.

And he does it with a lot of running around, thanks to a specific rune. Yeah, if I had a complaint with the game its this: when fighting a chief, you can get like 4 more to join, depending on the area. What was an easy battle is not craZY. Could use some of those crazy combos

That was a lot of running around. It can go nuts quite quickly. :lol For me things got easier when I learned to use the wraith stun and jump over someone wraith stun. It allows me to build up combos quickly so I can hit the buttons for a finishing kill or smack the ground to back folks up. I also have the deal set to lower the number needed for those as well as I can now do two in a row. I do have two runes hat allow for greater hit damage for hit streak combos between 15-29 (it's like 73%). I have also completed 5/10 weapon challenges for all my stuff. I think that has made them better.

I'd have to look and see what ones I have.

I'd look to shoot stuff that explodes to go with any combo kills.

Still playing with the runes, and which are best for my style

Trying to do another Warchief mission: cannot kill 20 of the baddies in 2 min......

Run around drawing a crowd to you and then shoot explosives. It's worked for me.

Yeah. I did the same. Ran around stealthing guys and blowing up barrels, Grog, and fire. Even caragor bait kills count towards it.

So far my main nemesis is an Orc with a crossbow named "Borg" or something like that. I have died several times at his hands due to his backup, I finally killed him but was amazed to bump into him again later on, he was all scarred from our previous fight which was cool but I thought once you killed them that was that.

When you kill them you need to cut off their head or cut their throat. I'm not sure how you make sure to do that though. I've tried to check and make sure but it acts like you've killed them and doesn't give you an option to stab the body to make sure or anything.

Well I beat it... :gah:

Honestly thought it was going to be a little longer. I wasn't really rushing or anything. In fact I took a lot of time with the nemesis system before actually doing any story missions. The weapon legends weren't for me so I didn't do many of em. They just didn't have that much depth they more like little challenges. Not a huge spoiler, but ....

I was pretty disappointed with the "army" I had recruited. Basically, just the war chiefs showed up to the final battle. Which ended up being nothing more than a few goons and some captains that were much like the usual fare. Kinda makes it seem pointless that I spent ll that time to make every captain mine when no one brought so much as a henchmen!

...but anyways interested to see what other people think of it.

My nemesis was called whatever the humiliator (appropriate title). He'd killed me like 4 or 5 times and was a legendary captain. Worst part was I did an outcast mission and he along with his posse was right next to a prisoner and this was in a stronghold. After getting the bonus objective and triggering an alarm, I had to do kill him. I basically was a cheapo and activated every caragor bait and fly nest until I thinned everyone out. Then I spammed him with arrows as his only weakness was ranged damage and combat finishers and eventually killed him. I was hoping I'd get a wicked rune and ended up with a stinker.

I just got the trophy for killing all of the Warchiefs before a replacement could be promoted.

I'm at the point in the story where I get Ratbag promoted to Warchief so that is some perfect timing. :rock

I've now moved beyond the black gate. Had some new War Chiefs I need to go back and kill. Then when I cross to the other side you get a whole new set of captains and WC to mess with.

Anyone thats beat this do you get to free roam after?
