Fenway should be electric. Winning one makes you hungry for another LOL. There is NOTHING in baseball like seeing a live game in Fenway!

Granted I've never been to another park, but going to Fenway ranks as one of my all time favorite things to do, it's just an amazing experience, and man to see the fire those guys play with would rule live, I'd love to see my boy Papelbon getting all fired up over each strike out. I really love how the whole stadium gets into singing Sweet Caroline during the 8th inning, just a fun tradition, sometimes you have so much fun being there you almost forget the game going on.

:lol Yeah they did. And it's okay, my heart still bleeds Dodger Blue. :)

At least you're not alone, you've got Alyssa in your corner :D

Uhhhhh....I don't know about the AL. Indians are pretty hot coming into the ALCS. The NLCS, who the hell would have picked the Rockies and the Diamondbacks, I think the Rockies are going to win that one, but who knows about the ALCS.

Both series' should be exciting to watch.

Friday night can't get here soon enough. The wait is brutal!

Red Sox in 6 :rock

I agree, Indians will give us a run for our money, but I don't see it going to game 7, 6 should be it.

My prediction, Sox sweep at home, lose game 3, gain a win in 4, drop the ball in 5, and take it in 6.

Too bad it ended the way it did. God I hope the good Dice-K shows up on Monday

Ya, let us hope, my confidence was high until they brought that ****nut Gagne in, he is a waste of space, I really hope they drop him in the off season. He's a Timlin style pitcher, when he's good he's great, when he sucks, he SUCKS and last night he sucked, they should NEVER use him in the end like that, I know they didn't expect extra innings, but they need to recognize he's a pitcher likely to give up hits and runs, and not use him in a tie ball game, they really need to use him in 7th or 8th innings if they must so someone else can clean up his mess. I don't care if it was his longest outing, Papelbon could have come back in and taken care of them. I just hope that regardless of Dice-K on Monday, this first playoff loss fuels them to try hard with the bats, their hitting was great last night, the pitching just fell apart starting with Schilling.

Have to believe the major league front office is cringing in their seats awaiting a possible Colorado vs. Cleveland Series. Ratings should be terrible for that one. Outside of true die-hard baseball fans and the two local areas (small ones at that) who cares about it? Who will watch? Sounds like a disaster shaping up for baseball. At least the Red Sox are a marquee name and would attract a large upper East Coast viewership.

I already have a knot in my stomach about tonight's game. God I hope the good Dice-K shows up tonight :monkey4

Even God would have a knot in his stomach about tonight's game, I'll consider us lucky if we get 5 complete innings out of Dice-K, and I only hope that Gagne gets used early on and stick with the Ohkajima-Papelbon finish.

They can't be too happy with the way the entire playoffs have gone so far. 3 of the first 4 series were 3 game sweeps and the one series that wasn't a sweep only went 4 games. That's just 10 games played out of a possible 20. No Red Sox/Yankees ALCS. And the NLCS is one game away from a possible sweep.

The Boston/Cleveland series is the only one that's actually going to turn out be a series. I just hope Dice-K throws strikes tonight. We need this one.

:monkey2:monkey2:monkey2:monkey2:monkey2

I hate Dice-K, he's such a big waste of money for the Sox; Dice-K, Gagne, Drew and Lugo should not be making the money they are.

It's funny, peopel comment how the Sox payroll is so much more than Cleveland, except Cleveland has great players getting paid squat and the Sox have ****ty players making big bank, it's all ****ed up.

:lecture
Yeah, you are exactly right. The player I can't stand to see at the plate is Youkalis. This guy is so uptight at the plate it's pathetic. Get two strikes on him and he's done. Schilling is going to have to pitch way over his head to win in the postseason especially with the powder puff he is throwing.

the rockies have mostly homegrown talent. i don't think they will win the series but they sure have looked impressive.

Youkilis has been very beneficial to us at the plate, he wears down pitchers a lot, though when he chokes at the plate it's pretty ugly, but that's a lot of guys. I think the Sox still have a chance, but only if Wakefield can be the good Wakefield tonight with some run support, and if Schilling can pitch like he did against the Angels, if either of those 2 fail at pitching we're screwed because Indians have a great offense and we're not going to put up 10 plus runs to blow the game out of the water regardless of pitching.

If we win tonight, I think the series is ours to lose. I have no idea what to expect from Timmy tonight considering how long it's been since he pitched. He's been big in the playoffs before though so I have my hopes up. Then we get Becket in game 5 and I have a feeling we'll see the dominate Schil in game 6. If the series goes 7, we're ****ed.

That's my feeling about how the series will play out. I really question the effects of the temperatures in Boston for Saturday's game, every pitcher looked to be shrugging off bothered arms and what not, even the night before as well as Becket pitched it was an uncharacteristing outing length for him, but some of these guys haven't played this deep in the season and aren't used to the temperatures, even Papelbon wasn't himself. My hope is, pull off a win tonight, Becket will control game 5, and then hope that weather and bullpen can support Dice-K when he comes out after 4 innings. Wake has been huge for us in the post season, I'm hoping to see that tonight, we need it.
