I still think the Sox will win the series. The key is a fast start. Don't get behind early.

Much as I am behind the Sox, we'll never make it with the pitching going like it is, our offense was off last night, but other than that, you couldn't ask much more from that side of the game this post season, we need to do that, and pitching needs to step up.

Sox fan here. Last night's game was brutal, but didn't leave me as suicidal as Friday night's. I still have faith that they'll pull this one out though. Obviously I'm going to be much less optimistic if we don't take game 4.

Some of my friends are ready to throw Dice-K to the sharks, but I'm not ready to sell my stock in Dice-K yet since this is his first season playing American ball. We're not just dealing with someone who's playing their first MLB season...we're dealing with someone who's also experiencing some major culture shock. He can be judged a lot more accurately after next year. Gagne needs his dusty-hat-wearing ass beat though.

If we win tonight, I think the series is ours to lose. I have no idea what to expect from Timmy tonight considering how long it's been since he pitched. He's been big in the playoffs before though so I have my hopes up. Then we get Becket in game 5 and I have a feeling we'll see the dominate Schil in game 6. If the series goes 7, we're ****ed.

what's this we *hit loki? when did you sign with the sox? :lol:lol:lol

Dice-K was disappointing last night, but not as much as the offense. Too many inning-ending double plays, and not scoring with the bases loaded and no outs in the 2nd was horrible. The offense hasn't done much since Manny and Lowell went back to back in the 5th inning Saturday night. Other guys need to step it up because Ortiz, Manny, and Lowell can't do it all. Pedroia has been leading off but he's not getting on base. It might be time to put Ellsbury in the lineup, instead of Coco, and lead him off. They need a spark.

As for tonight I'm in full panic mode. I'm not at all comfortable that we have to count on Wakefield to save our season. He hasn't pitched in three weeks and I think he's only pitched once in like the last month and a half. I have a feeling the Sox are going to have to score some runs to win this one. I don't think 4 runs is going to cut it tonight.

I think the team that wins tonight wins the series.

Looks like it's all but over now. 7-0 Tribe. Boston's offense has been a total no show and their pitching hasn't been that much better.

Sad but true. We're not going to pull off another 2004 miracle comeback the way we're playing, just won't happen, it'll still likely go to game 6 cuz I think Becket will shut them down again, but odds are, especially with Dice-K on the mound, game 6 is going to Cleveland. Bottom line, you have to play like you want it, Cleveland is, Boston isn't, just like the 2005 playoffs, I don't know what their deal is but they need a fire lit in them.

Well the Indians are giving Boston a good ole fashioned butt whoopin. They should have jerked Wakefield out sooner and the 5th inning would have been totally different if that polock Youkilis would have caught that foul ball.I would say this is the Indians series to lose.

I'm going to be a typical boston fan and blame bad mojo. My parents were home for game 1 and we won, they're away on vacation all week and we haven't won since, they need to get the **** back here.

I don't care if Youkilis got a homer or not,he's still weak.He just got an error.
If he was not such a big lummox he would have caught that foul in the fifth..

How can you beat up on his defense so bad, the guy hasn't had an error since July 2006. If anything, Julio Lugo and J.D. Drew are our biggest defensive flops.

I really hate that my emotional well-being and health is so closely tied to the fates of my favorite professional sports teams. Someone approaching me and asking me how I'm doing has basically been answerable by me pointing out whether the Sox or Pats have won or not...I love the Celts too, but if I was counting on them to keep me healthy last season, I'd be dead by now. At least things look brighter on that front.

As for tonight. I'm officially in Doomsday mode. I predict the Sox will take the next 2 and lose game 7. Then I will be able to test whether or not I can fly.

We should expect the Sox to win tomorrow night, with Beckett on the hill, but the way the offense is going they'll end up losing 2-1 or something stupid. I think I might watch the Bruins home opener instead. :monkey1

Win or go home time, good start though, go Youk, home run first inning baby. I have to say, I so miss Kevin Millar, the guy is such a class act, he even did a promo spot on Fox to support the Sox and he's not even with us anymore.

Let's Go Red Sox! Let's Go Red Sox!

I just don't see how the Sox can pull this off with Crisp and Lugo still in the line up.Boston can't seem to catch a break either........

Ellsbury at center could help, but Cora's not likely to help all that much more in for Lugo.
