Why is there no comparison with the original Mark 3? Can someone please post a side to side photo of the old Mark 3 alongside Mark 3 die cast? I just wanted to see which one is taller?

Yep looks good. For a figure that has the worst articulation and color and proportions of all time. Well at least if you read this thread.

Worst articulation and proportions of all time??

You clearly haven't seen 3A's Master Chief.

Go back and read what you wrote. You were exaggerating.

Guys I think he was being sarcastic as many people have complained about the articulation, colour, proportions etc yet its a great figure as the pictures show (and personal experience).

I must agree. I had high hopes for this MK3 die-cast ever since it was announced. It was a let down for me. The size, the lack of articulation is somewhat of a set back considering previous die-cast MK42, 43, Iron Patriot have had good torso articulation. Instead of moving forward I think it was a lazy thing to do on the part of Hot toys. They just throw us a bone with that bendy torso thing. The Mark 43 may be the best so far since the Mark 45 will not include an extra head with a Tony Stark mug instead those Bandai like laser things. Don't get me wrong but the original Mark 3 had the colors and articulation for that generation. Sometimes the key to happiness is lowered expectations, under promise and over deliver. Just my two cents after browsing this site for 3 hours looking for a comparison between the old MK3 vs. MK3 die-cast. And still nothing!

Just gonna put this here:

Thank you. Apperantly if it's not a meme half the Internet doesn't understand. (Again, sarcasm).

As I've stated I think the issues with this figure are over blown and exaggerated, so I was pointing out that just becuase some people hate it, others don't. People question hot toys and ask why they didn't do this or that and how it was a mistake. But NOTHING hot toys does makes everyone happy. They do exactly what people want and ask for and then they still complain.

Looks awesome, may I ask what neck your using?

Not to jump in, but I have the Arc reactor HS and I used a Marty McFly neck with the neck collar from the Tony Stark Workshop set and it looks great. Not sure what JamesXGZ is using though :)

So I guess the neck pops off the Mk3? I tried pulling it out but seems pretty stuck in there, just yank it harder?

It does come out, similar to the AU Mark II. If you pull it up and a little forward it should just pop right out. At least mine does anyway!

Oh, so you admit you were being hyperbolic? Good, thanks for agreeing with me. :duff

His sarcasm needs a bit of work. The color is the least of the issues. The ab articulation is nonexistent, thus the need for a swap-out ab section. And the proportions aren't the greatest.

As evidenced by LexiKon's pic, it does look good from an angle.

My MK III arrived today and If I could only have one armor in my collection, this would be it. My only complaint on this guy was the Pain in the @ss it was to get the plastic off the flap assemblies.:lol Very impressive figure IMO.

I'm using a 3rd party neck adapter from OSK.
I couldn't find a suitable neck peg to connect the neck piece from the neck adapter kit, so the head sculpt is just resting on the neck. HS is also a bootleg from OSK lol. Is it very different from the Arc Reactor head sculpt?

Yes I'll pop off the IM helmet first, then with thumbs behind the neck piece, push forward with some force. Pops at the front for me. Heart skips everytime I do that.

Me too, can you please share how in the hell you got the plastic off without damaging it??? Is it two pieces that need to be peeled apart of what. I cannot figure this plastic stuff out. This is ridiculous.. Thanks
