doesnt the III use the shiny gold, that picture shows the same matte dull gold as the MK42.... maybe its just the photo
ht isnt at sdcc, just ssc
I would be shocked if Hot Toys doesn't do IV through VII in diecast, probably with no articulation in the stomach and no swappable damage.
Kindly give a heads up once Sideshow offers their exclusive version up on their site.. I will be trying to check sideshow once in a while but with this new annoucement sometimes you need to search it in Archive before it will appear and being in Mobile plus lots of Iron Man figs sometimes makes it harder to check =D
If it helps they usually put up new Pre-orders at around 6pm GMT+1
Now available for PO at one of the 2 official HT/SSC dealers here, for $310. I'm glad that HT and SSC retained the price for the IM die cast figure.
I almost threw mine on eBay today because I needed the cash.. hence my question. ...
It's still IMO - the best incarnation so far, & the set as a whole was sweet value - especially during it's initial run (try getting it for $270 AUD shipped now). I only ever wanted one HT Iron Man figure.. & the MK4 is the one for me.
That said, big picture - had I sold mine, I'd have had two options; 1. go back & get the same figure set new later on for at least three times the price, deal with the batteries potentially leaking inside the thing regardless of those tabs (seeing that the figure would've then been imprisoned like that for a few years by that stage), or - 2. wait for the inevitable die-cast version to get announced - & pay at least $400+ for one, & not get as good an overall set as the first release.
In short - didn't need to sell after all, so problem solved. He's safe now.
I'm happy to be a sheep on this. Besides, selling is just such hard work... I'd have to put all the batteries back in, photograph it, get a shipping quote for it, wait for 45 days to see if I'm going to be ripped off...nup
