One isn't as crazy bad as some I've seen. The starboost. But still, I bet there where plenty of red flags.

Either you want or you don't. Still worth it especially for someone who didn't have the orginial, classic armor. Love this figure.
Here's some of my pics! Hawkeye is coming this thurs. I'm almost complete with my Avengers line-up!

Honestly I kept going back and forth between the mark 3 and mark 43. I mean I don't particularly like the Iron Man films but loved the Avengers films, so it was only natural I'd go for the 43. The only issue though is the mark 3 looks so much better in every single way. Also, I wanted an Iron Man with a pristine look. The battle damage on the 43 is a huge turn off, which made me also dismiss the 45. I was already set on buying the mark 3 when I walked into my local hobby shop and saw them both displayed together. My eyes were drawn to the 3 and I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. Instantly ordered. I'll have it within the week. Forget pictures! Seeing it in person made me buckle and order in no time.

Thanks! With all the good poses I had there none I picked for my display. I may pick one there someday but for now I have the civil war pose. Excited for that movie!

Totally agree. Every time I pass by this guy, I can't help but stare :bow Even after all these years, I still find this to be the definitive Iron Man suit design.

Neck seems too long on this figure in Some shots. Anyone else see that? Maybe it's just me.

Nope. Neck is absolutely right, no giraffe neck this time.
Besides the ankle articulation and perhaps the bright red color they totally nailed it.
... in my opinion. :)

mkIII_proportions.jpg

Proportions wise the new Mk III is pretty good. The arms and legs are a touch too skinny and the forearms don't quite line up.

I'm sorry but a proportionate human body doesn't exactly fit within that armor. I'm not buying that it's not somewhat of a giraffe neck. It's no biggie as I'm not one to scoff at small details on figures. I do enjoy it. Just don't see how a human fits comfortably in there. I too love the bright color. They did an excellent job.

I personally don't care for the armor looking like it can fit a human body. If it were designed that way, it would lose the hero proportions. I recall the producers mentioning that particular challenge with the practical suits in the first IM movie. Fantasy over reality works for me with the armor designs.

A human body would not fit in any of the armors really. They where intentially designed that way to give a certain look. And the suit designers have stated so many times. If you have an issue with the design of the suit that's one thing. But the design of the figure is pretty close to the 3D files and the maqs and mock ups done at Stan Winston.

As for a long neck, on this figure...this one has one of the shortest necks actually.

The only thing that bothers me besides the feet is that the face is a bit too big for the helmet. Should be smaller...
