I think they'd need to build a custom body, no true type can get that look

I wouldn't worry guys. They'll get it perfected when they make the figure again for the next Bat film...wot 2012?

I know I'm not YellowJoshua, but this is what I would like to see:

1. slim it down
2. modify the arms: gauntlets and hands. they are just toooo big
3. modify the chest-piece
4. modify the details on the armor. it still looks like a sweat-shirt under the chest-piece. it doesn't look a 2-in1 suit. (And for the Medicom-haters here: Medicom looks good )

I'm with Thrustmaster.

The body on the DX maybe slimmer but it is pretty much the V1 again.
The headsculpt as we know has been improved and I think that looks good.
HT need, nay MUST, look at the Medicom because that figure is fantastic - It's screen accuracy is excellent and compared to the HT, wins hands down.

I think the accessories that are being offered with the HT DX are overshadowing the fact that the suit/ arms/ gauntlets / legs look nothing like the real film costume. The arms are fat, the chest is bulky, the armour on the legs isn't defined enough.

I guess we shall have to wait and see what HT do.

It has been mentioned that if we didn't anaylse the figures like this - we would still be stuck with the first versions - the DX Joker for example is a reaction to our anaylisis of the V1.

I get what you guys are saying but I disagree. Medicom does have the proportions right but it doesn't look real. It looks like a toy. HT's looks real, it might be bulky but it is way nicer and the suit is way more detailed. Medicom and HT traded for proportion and detail.

Very true. Although I would love to buy the Medicom for accuracy, I could not stand having something so toy-like on my shelf, which is why the HT, (although not quite slim enough), wins out.

Yes, there are some good qualities about the Medicom, but like the DX 02, it is not perfect. The armor plates on his pecs are too round and puffy...bulbous. That is a glaring discrepancy from the screen costume, where the pectoral slabs are less curvaceous and more of a flat plane across their widest surface. Also, you cannot see it in the pic posted above, but the setting of the eyes and the bags under them, (the heavy lower lids), dull the likeness to Bale...not to mention the "dead" stare for the Medicom's expression, (perhaps the white paint for the eyes is too flat, or out of the tube?) I definitely would not say that about the HT v2.

And frankly, the Medicom might be a hair TOO skinny to be perfectly screen accurate! (And anyway, I'd rather have my heroes look slightly too strong vs. slightly too scrawny).

So yeah, the Medicom has it's faults, too...and so many on here seem to give it a free-pass!

Other than the shoulder pads and the size of the neck, I think this looks better.

The Medicom insignia almost looks curved and doesn't have the geometric look at all.

I was thinking of buying medicom batman till I saw the DX preview.
This will be the ultimate 1:6 scale batman to have.
hands down.

yeah sure, that's why we're buying those figures from them
Sure the figure looks overall really impressive and really beautiful. But it's just their second attempt, they have ALL the ressources they need to make this attempt perfect PLUS there were users who have been sending them so many pictures and modified pictures of their own proto-shots how it should look at the end. just go here through this thread. i know it has many pages, but there were many suggestions here. I don't know if HT will ignore them. It seems so at the moment, but it's better to scream out loud now for the errors on the figure, than after the release of it. we have now a chance to say what's wrong and what's good and with some hope, HT will hear us and do the changes. And I really can't understand those complaints about the criticism. The figure just get better and better through the criticism. If everybody would say 'wooow, that looks awesome. It's perfect', HT would never move their asses to improve the figure and bring the quality to perfection.

again I think if we want HT to hear the recommendations someone needs to make sure that the same is being broadcast over in one of the Chinese forums. I seriously doubt we are influencing anyone here. I just can't imagine them reading this board when they already have several forums to keep up with in Asia.

To me regardless of wheter its accurate or not thats what I saw on screen. Much more so than the Medicom. It may be the medicom paint or something along those lines but I prefer the hot toys by far.

isn't that the point of a forum ?. What else is there to speak about really until people go off topic ?. I enjoy Maulfan's super detailed posts personally , just like The Mikes.

With all due respect, YellowJoshua, the Medicom is pretty good, but THIS is very accurate, lifelike, and AMAZING!:
