I like the Medicom face expression a lot better than any of the HT ones, and the PERS eyes on Batman just look friggin weird. I think I might just get the accessories loose, the sonar head and pack.

honestly having the ability to change the mouth with 3 expressions is so underrated. The expressions will be loads of fun for me cause Batman is all about emotions in TDK.... (of cause there is SO MUCH MORE to LOVE on this DX)
The thing lacking in my mind on JC is not it's inaccuracies but the neutral expression. It's just hard to use in any action shots.

Thinking bout this I may actually sell either my Medi or V1 whichever brings back more money and then gut the other

I actually like the swappable mouths more than PERS with Batman, particularly for the photography, having a pissed off face for photos of him kicking ass will really make them look better than the neutral face like the v1, and shots of him more emotional like with the Joker or Two-Face can use the other mouths. With these DX figures, there aren't too many photo ideas you can come up with that the figure isn't loaded with goodies to enable you to do.

I agree.... PERS on Joker is amazing as you can give him really menacing looks that way. Batman can't really benefit from those positions of the eyes, he is a freak but ... hmm maybe we can introduce a new meaning of the freak in Batman with those PERS

With Batman, it's not so much where his eyes are looking as the shape to them and the overally look. HT sculpted the eyes on this figure to look very menacing compared to v1, they're great, wherever they're looking the effect's the same, with Joker, new eye positions can really change the emotion of the face, in Batman that's defined by the mouth area.

Plasmid, in your post, are you remarking HT improving the DX further from the initial prototype or just the improvement of DX over the original figure?

I should've been a bit more specific duh), I meant compared to the prototype in the Milk scans.

As for PERS, I welcome the feature on any upcoming DX project.

That's what I thought, but most people have been discussing the v1-DX side so I didn't want to reply without knowing which you meant.

The only time I remember HT saying anything about the DX being improved was from, not sure if was Milk, a magazine article that was a bit ambiguous as to whether the article was written regarding the figure before the official HT prototype pics or after. I never really thought there would be any changes from the proto, I just assumed what we saw was it and anything else would be a lucky break.

As for PERS, I welcome the feature on any upcoming DX project.

I welcome it more now that we see another means to do it besides the trap door scenario like Joker. While fairly seamless, the Joker hair piece doesn't seamless blend. This new Batman method seems like a good way to have the function but retain the aesthetics of figures without it. I'd actually rather them continue doing it Batman way, but we'll see what happens. I'd just like to see a new DX announcement, technically the Iron Man BD was slated to be one, so development time frame wise, I guess it's not like a gap since Batman, but still, this line needs more, and I say that too because Rambo was mentioned in the article that first hinted Batman and I'm really crossing fingers for one more Rambo out of HT.

I'm still wondering if there have been any improvements to the prototype shown on the first page, which I assume is the same as the one shown in HT's store display and prior to that SDCC. The Milk article, I'm not entirely sure about. As you said, it is ambiguous.

In any case, the final figure looks damn good.

Do you wish DX Joker had the same means of PERS accessibility as DX Batman has? I think it's a definite improvement from what I can see. Of course, who knows how it'll turn out in person.

Rambo could use PERS eyes. That could be cool. Some say eyes are the windows to the soul, so I think any character can benefit from PERS. More emotion and personality in photos.

On another note, is he stated for release this weekend? Curious because most of the time a backstage pass pic hints the release of the figure shortly after...

The suit is entirely new. We haven't seen this version at all. It's a lot more accurate to the source material.

And the body looks like it could be the Slim TrueType.

When we get more pics, I'm sure you'll see how big the differences really are.

I agree, it's not just the chest or upper chest gaurd, look at the arms and armour there too, it's completely different and alot smaller to ANY previous pictures they've shown us. The only picture we've seen of the new suit is the one we have just received

I'm glad I never bought the MMS version. I thought it looked bad to begin with, when it was first released. I thought he looked fat and his cowl was weird, but no one else seemed to notice until the arrival of Medicom and now this DX.

look how damn skinny the arms look, not only in comparison but just when looking at the new picture itself.

thanks HT, I was really really worried this would be Big Chap scenario part 2 where after having so long to get something right they screw it up yet again.

sure the chest piece is still only around 80 percent accurate in size but its more than something i can live with. the suit details look fantastic. i guess 'not final product' actually meant something this time around.

from the pic, the dx shoulder pads seem to look really huge
