I think the problem with Gordon is that Oldman does not give consent on his likeness being used.

He has for Harry Potter. The NECA figure and the Gentle Giant Bust.

Gary Oldman is just being a butt about it then I guess. Kind of like Christian Bale about the playmates terminator salvation line.

Haha, um no, he was right to make sure his face wasn't associated with that line!

How many of you would be game for a Commissioner Gordon with Batsignal DX figure? Just wondering if people would buy it?

Also, what does a Hicks from Hot Toys run typically?

This discussion has been totally off topic for this thread, but it is an interesting one.

If there is not a thread with this as a topic I think we should make one. Perhaps it could be a poll with a title something like 'Boxed or unboxed, what do you prefer?'

Poll options:

1) Keep boxed and never opened.

2) Keep boxed after inspecting.

3) Keep boxed until space/cases are available.

4) Open box and play!


I think it is a topic that could invite lively discussion, and we could learn more about the hobby.


If there already is a thread like this, does anyone have a link?

Really? The ONLY one you would buy? Not a fan of the DX stuff at all?

That's actually what got me into collecting the 1/6 scale stuff. I previously owned a Snake Eyes from Sideshow and then sold it immediately after opening it. Took a chance on the Hot Toys Joker DX because I really wanted the Batman DX and couldn't be patient.

Probably one of the best things I've ever bought, love that figure(s).

Just surprised that a Gordon would be the only one you would buy, mostly because I felt with the Dark Knight line they couldn't really go anywhere else. I suppose Nurse Joker but there is already that kit out there for that.

Harry Potter is an exception, as the films are clearly designed for children (Yes I know adults like them too)
I would guess it was in his contract that when he took the part, his likeness would be used for figures and the such.

Well I like the stuff, I just made a choice between Iron Man and TDK when both where announced and have stuck with it. Gordon would make me break that pact though. I adore Gary Oldman, he's amazing as Gordon, and there's not really any 1/6 figures of him out there.

Ok..I surrender, the damn oil lubricant has appeared again in the abdominal area. (I cleaned 1000000 000 times and repainted the area again,but the nasty lubricant back and back, and back, and back....I feel very frustrated

Definitely never should have bought this figure...Too many problems concerns,complaints... although I should feel lucky because this has been my only problem, nevertheless AVOID THIS F.............. HT BATMAN DX FIGURE because this figure is the greatest Hottoys crap to date

Yes, agreed HT made a mistake - but they are also providing replacements and the error free figures are absolutely stunning

I sent an e-mail to Hottoys CS yesterday for the oil problem, but still not have response.. I think crOw did the same thing, last week, but dunno if hottoys already answered him

Hi everyone, my Batman started to peel and he also presents that annoying oil HT asked me to destroy the bat-suit, but does it includes destroying chest armor and truetype body too?
I'll also destroy sonar head.

How should I destroy those parts?

Play with it in the bath; take some photos of your figure underwater, covered in bubblebath, etc, and then send them to Hot Toys. Also, be sure to post them here.

Tip: pretend your rubber duck is Aqua Man.

I imagine if you show yourself pealing the rubber off the body they'd be fine with that.
