if someone wanted to mod this fig with shoulder pads that are a tiny bit smaller what would you do?

Easy. Sculpt out new ones to the correct size in clay. Make a mold of the new shoulder pads and then cast in resin. Then paint to match. They wont be flexible but they will be the size that you want.

Only way to mod them is too indeed sculpt new ones.

There are a number of ways you could do it. But if you sculpted them and then cast in a rigid resin, you could then abrade that piece to a more consistent finish, then turn that piece into your usable version using a flexible resin pigmenting the resin instead of painting.
presumably the piece can be strapped onto the body in the same way the original is?

So I finally got a DX Batman PERS head and put it on my V1 Dark Knight and it actually makes the figure look 10x better. The size of the figure still bugs me but the figure bugs me that much less.

Better right?

I think with all the problems with the DX Batman This would be the best alternative to the DX. Althought you wont get the amazingly eye catching body You'll still a better figure with the PERS head.

Nope guys. The only thing DX about this figure is the head and neck. You need the neck because the wonderful DX head is magnetic so you need the other half of the magnet which is located in the neck. The bottom part (the part that connects to the body) is the regular ball and cap.

Yea, it looks really good..i am going to have to pick this head up sometime, a better alternative for sure for those who already have a V1.

This might be a tall order, but is there any retailers that guarantee an oil-free DX02 Batman figure? I feel bad for all the guys on here that have it and if I'm gonna spend that much on it, I wanna be sure mine ain't gonna leak everywhere...there any e-tailers that have like a mint batch or something?
