Actually last month I was able to get a second MMS DX Joker on ebay for $140.

The prices really do fluctuate. While they're never V1, Bank Robber and Two-Face low, it is sub retail.

Ah, I haven't been keeping that close of a track then. Do they often end that low? I see one up for bid and it's at $172 with 4 hours left another at $127 with 8 hours left. Sure to be some snipers at the end raising the price.

Lowest I've seen them go is $138 and it was an auction with about a dozen bidders. I was lucky with the $140 dollar one because the seller had the best offer going on. I paid $198 dollars for my first MMS DX Joker. Still it feels like a huge difference. $138 vs. $200.

I wanna replace my dx body, because its still leaking and i got it from febuary. I dont have a paypal reciept, but i have a toys2 one. Does that still work?

There is no harm done trying and Toys2 is an official distributer. I would hear what Eric recommends first.

I didn't get that they're refusing his case. They only say that he should send some pics and not a video.

And they're just asking him friendly to re-send them those pics and the receipt. Maybe they only have overlooked that there is the receipt.

Yeah in my communications with HT I had to repeat and resend pictures all the time. Try to keep your request in simple English and short and to the point as it is a barrier for them

I got a question for all the collectors who got oily abs in the 1st release. Did the oil stop leaking after a few days, or is it still currently leaking? reason I want to know is if the abs only leak for a few days & stop, then its no big deal & rubber abs equal more poseable....right?

Now this is the reason why you should play nice in the sandbox cause ones everyone has you on their ignore list when you do need help no one will help you. But since you manage to ask nicely for obvious reasons
The leaking rarely stop on their own. They will appear to saturate the material to only a certain degree but as it turns out in several cases including myself the residue will start work it's way to the inside and "melt"the interior walls. I have dedicated a whole thread to this if you care to read about it . And yes you are welcome

Well I opened my DX last night for the first time. I'm stunned at how much this figure met my swelling expectations. Luckily, the figure didn't show any of the problems some have reported (i.e. wonky eyes, broken/missing pieces, etc.) I just got my Battle Damaged IronMan last week, and couldn't imagine how another HT figure could top it, but this one certainly does. Despite comments to the contrary, I think his proportions are true to life, which is nice after so many figures being built to ridiculous comic book proportions. Absolutely no complaints. Puts my Takara Batman to shame (which I'm thinking I'd gladly trade for an extra dx body to display the sonar head separately). The cape sits in perfectly if you push in the cloth first and set the clips down. However, there's just too much fabric to drape and rest straight, so I may do a custom job or purchase one of my fellow board member's capes.

Btw I would recommend to summerize all your points in short Bulletin form and repeat it all in every reply as I doubt they manage to keep the different cases apart by reading back.

This is the exact reason why the online stores are selling this figure like mad....We now have 3 different versions of this figure released and 2 have major defects. There is nothing distinguishing about these figures outside of the box. Buying from a store that we can guarantee has the DC direct shipment is the ONLY way to buy this figure IMO. Buying it on Ebay, you never know which version you are gonna get.... This will either drive up the price of the DC direct batch huge... or like a re-casted sideshow grail, drop the value as more people wont be willing to take the chance in the aftermarket.

I'm not suggesting buyers turn to ebay because I'm in love or have a stake in the site (MAN-O-MAN could you imagin my bank account if i had tiny bit of ebays money ).

I'm suggesting that people who are on the fence about the DX Batman snatch one up while they are still hovering about the $200 mark.....thats all. Now if you know of a reputable online store that can assure a DCD DX Bats.....THEN BY ALL MEANS, THROW IT UP ON THE BOARD MAN!

But as best I can tell every one is crying "SOLD OUT or PRE-ORDER SOLD OUT".

DO you not think Hot toys will produce another DCD batch for the International market and then another batch with hard abs for the local Asia market if the demand is there which it clearly is?

Look at DX jokers, everyone one was saying these will peak big time in the secondary market real fast yet you can get them sub retail on the bay.

I predict DX bats will go the same way.

What we're witnessing now is a flurry and mad rush in the international market as people have waited six months to pick up a non-defective bats.

People be calm and cool.

Sorry but this sounds like wishful thinking to me. What the DX Joker was over ordered by e-tailers & lead them to over stock. Now these same e-tailers don't want to get stuck with the same over stock. The hard reality is.....collectors are a fickle bunch. Always have been, always will be. So many b1tch & moan about not getting this, or not enough of that. When the sad truth is if more collectors said what they mean, & mean what they say, & then backed it up with $$$ then these fiasco's would happen so often.

All the DX Jokers that are going for sub retail (& frankly I have seen any myself), but where ever they are, they are there because e-tailers either gambled that the death of Ledger & it being the last HT Joker it would be in ultra high demand, or too many fickle collectors flaked on them & cancelled.

Needless to say sellers abroad cut their orders in half to avoid clearance mech. As far as they are conserned.......well lets just say there NOT CONSERNED about the happiness of flakey buyers. & no, I do not think HT will make more. TDK is wrapping up & its time to move on to "fertile ground" so-to-speak. Our demo as collectors is small enough as it is. This "high demand" you speak of is......YOUR DEMAND LOL .

& thats the way I see it.

Looks good. Does the backpack fit onto the V1 body easily? I can't remember if someone mentioned about it and can not be arsed to trawl through over 9000 posts

I said "nothing distinguishing outside the box". As in, the box did not change between any of the 3 or 4 releases. Hence, I could sell you a DX bats from version 2 with the leaky abs and tell you its from the DC shipment and you wont know till you have already opened the figure up.

That's why I would say to buyers, be careful on Ebay. You never truly know which version you would truly get. People are buying this thing like crazy from BBTS and other major retailers because we KNOW that this was pre-ordered from the DC direct release.

I would not recommend freaks go to ebay, not worth the risk in my opinion...

Well, that's being a bit paranoid. Most of the sellers aren't stupid, they have it labeled "DCD" for their auctions. Sellers that have the damaged ones usually say as much in the descriptions.

Now, I'm not saying it can't happen but the chances of accidentally buying the oil ab version is slim. Even if that did happen most sellers have the 7 day exchange/refund policy and the buyer wins most disputes anyway. It's not like someone would be stuck with it like these collectors that bought the initial shipment and found out weeks/months later that it was deteriorating.
