Has anyone gotten anything from urban collector yet? They told me they were getting another shipment at the end of the month, but I have seen anyone post about them yet, only bbts and dcbs and a few others. I'm getting a little worried, I preordered the first week of Feb. Was I too late?!?

I wouldn't be too late Station. My LCS hasn't gotten their shipment yet so I'm just assuming now all the DCD shipments have reached their destination. Make sense? NO but it is what it is.

The wait is KILLING ME!!!!! I just hope it doesn't get to be the end of june, I get a "too bad" letter from urban collector and then the only DCD batch ones i can find are on ebay for like $300 when my pre-order was only for $150.

Received mine today from Q!

Awesome figure. Took me forever to get the 2nd belt on though. Reminded me of the opening scene of "The Incredibles". Bats kinda has a some wide hips!

lol. so is this version a bit "fatter" than the oily release, or even v1 TDK suit? this newest just seems a lil thicker

yes by quite a bit i might add. when the belt and cape are on it looks better but his torso is much wider than his hips. it looks very strange and stumpifies him a bit. But I must say it does not really bother me. It's noticeable but a fair trade of to keep that oily ******* at bay.

MaulFan seemed to say that the only difference was the material. No other visible changes...

Eh, I noticed it but I don't think it's THAT bad. Certainly not "fatman" worthy. It sticks out yes but I don't think it hinders movement (other than the abs) or looks grotesque. Once you put the belt and accessories on him and pose him the difference in the ab area disappears. If I had to find any nitpick about this figure it would have to be the cape clasps (I'm really getting mad at myself here. Still can't get it) and that god awful tape that they wrapped around the figure and belt. It wasn't just plastic it had a sticky residue that STUCK to the belt because they taped it to it. Other than that, this thing is great.

While I'll admit adding a plastic torso piece instead of taking more time and perfecting the rubber was a cheap fix on their (Hot Toys) part I think that this is better than deteriorating rubber. The hard plastic doesn't bother me (I don't do much posing with these figures with rubber suits) the way Hot Toys handled this whole situation does. They should have announced what the heck was exactly going on with the leaking in the first place. Not only that but treat the customers that had the problem with a little more respect and appreciation.

Also, I have to be honest here, I'm starting to rethink this whole rubber body/suit thing. I have a bunch of figures that utilize the concept but I'm starting to wonder how long they're going to last.

I have the same concern with the cape clasps, didn't want to force it in and break the clavicle piece.

OK having all three right now.....
1) yes plastic abs is wider than leaky abs but not by much.. just enough to clear the pants so it wont rub and damage it
2) V1 is actually thinner and with the slightly larger chest it gives it that Hero look that so many here find unrealistic
3) the V1 gutt really only is because the abs are very soft and hence when bending over the gutt spills out but in a good normal position it really does not gutt out
4) the DX is a more realistic shape so don;t tell me you want to now go back to the V1 shape

I got mine today from BBTS. Everything's fine, except that I just noticed that one of the LED lights on the stand isn't working. While it's not a big issue, it would be nice to have both of them work. Any suggestions on who I could contact to fix this, or possibly replace it? - I'm hoping all I would have to do is just send only the stand itself.

open it up and check for loose connections, i converted mine to USB power/wall power so i can turn it on whenever i liek and leave it on =)

Contact BBTS... sure they're out of stock, but they'll probably contact HT for you and see if they can get a replacement.

Well, I have a first batch figure & it has a very slight case of oil abs....it's not soaked at all, but it does have a slight sheen to it. The problem is, it's not bad enough for HT to replace it...so I ordered one from the DCD batch (from Redford-Films) just in case. I'd hate to have it deteriorate in a year or two.
Better safe than sorry.

How do I know it's from the DCD batch though? Is there a difference in packaging that distinguishes a DCD figure form the HT one?

Just discovered that the back of the DCD box has a DCD logo on it!

Anyone who has one from the earlier/HT batches check to see if DCD is on the back! If not, then there is a way to tell which figure you have before you open it!



EDIT: BTW, has anybody else not been able to do anything, after getting this figure. I swear I cant stop looking & messing with him. He truely makes me blush! My roomates think im crazy. Maybe we should get a room, so we can spend quality time together without being judged!


I have a few minor complaints about my new lover though. His hands are a _____ to get off & on. & As I mentioned in a earlier post, getting the 2nd belt & cape on was also a challenge. Other than those minor setbacks though, he's been rocking my world ALL DAY!!!!

They always had a DCD logo on the box. There is new signage and print on the brown outer box.

Just got my second dx from UPS. Checked it and I am happy with both my purchases.

I've basically gone through 4 figures and find switching hands on this figure very easy. Much easier than the blade figure...Blade's hands are a real pain.
