Sure is. Paint is about 75% done. V2 will have the Bat suit neck with the hair down a little. A mix between the rooftop and the chair scene after Rachel dies.

Love your pics Maglor. The way you have him on the stand is exactly how I want to have him on there! No post, just the base.

Would love to see similar pics but with the neutral mouth, it seems everyone has the angry mouthpiece on their figures when they take photos!

I'd take a picture of mine, but he's currently against a white wall in my office. A picture of that taken with an iPhone wouldn't be the stuff dreams are made of.

But I use the neutral mouth, and traded away the other mouth I had. The neutral is my favorite, as I mentioned. I love the mildly smug look.

I use the neutral on my DX also, the angry on the V1 with DX parts!

Nice pose Maglor! Should try and whip up some sort of evidence bag with the jokers card in for him to hold or something!

Hope you get your Bats soon Rob, and that you don't get dicked about any further! Still takes the piss that they didn't pull their finger out because they could have made that shipment! Tit heads!

I'm waiting on a few things before I start taking any real collection pics. My main problem is just carted a Detolf cross-country as part of a move (since I could buy it in NY but not CO), only to discover when I got here it was missing the two rubber strips that hold the glass together. So now I'm trying to get them to send me those, but Ikea hasn't been too cooperative.

Anyway...


My TDK collection, that sits across from my desk. I think I'm going to switch his hands to the semi-open hands that hold his cape better.





Fun fact: to my left is a window rather than a wall, so DX Joker spends his whole day staring at the woman who works next to me, something she has definitely noticed.

edit: I noticed that with my crap camera, Smug Bats looks more like Kissy Face Bats.

Here is the picture of the TT Necks from a Narrow and Slim and I suspect the DX and V1 is similar

and here is the IM neck which is likely to be closer to what the DX sonar neck is like

Following the ideas mentioned above about trimming the inside of the neck to get rid of the giraffe neck look, I tried something and it worked pretty well.
I popped open the neck joint and dremmeled the inside tabs that give the height of the ball socket. I wanted the joint to go deeper inside the neck, so using a dime (coin) I set a higher inside wall/tab that would limit how much more the socket and joint would go into the neck. I dremmeled new ridges where the sides of the coin would fit snuggly and then closed and glued back. No joints were cut off and the whole operation stayed inside the neck where you can't see it. Check out the pictures:

Subtle change but gives it a more natural appearance, especially in person!

Anyone who has purchased their DX Bats at BBTS -- any issues with oil or any major concerns with the figure? What were materials on the bas etc?

I'm thinking of getting another DX Batman. The second wave Bat I have is not that oily, but I don't want to risk any deterioration over time and being stuck with one figure.
