finally thinkin of getting onea these. but wondering about the waist. it seems thicker than i remember it from the earlier versions. is that because of the hard abs?

I agree with that, the DCD shipment Bats' waist and ab area are way bulkier than the batch I got mine from, from an earlier run.

a few hundred pages back I posted that I would pass on this fig. due to the lack of ab posing...guess what...


still a pass for me.

If I want a static statue, I"ll purchase one.

Not to hate on this fig., there are many great photos posted of it nevertheless.

Sorry for noob question but can someone explain the hot toys batman line they make. How many versions did they make? and is the DX02 the same as DX? WHich is the newest and best version to buy?

Yiha, Bonnie at HT received my faulty Bats and I´ll get my replacement soon.

Hot Toys still refused to replace mine. I'm at the point now where i actually wanna buy another (or at least just a new body) from the DCD batch. Its kind of painful to have to spend all this money again but its an awesome figure, probably my fav i have along with the OC batman. I just dont know if i can bring myself to throw that sort of money on something i already have that should have been done right the first time.

When talking about Batman DX = DX)@ (Unless you mean the Joker... that DX01).

Hot Toys made 4 Batman figures total (I think). Two of them are wearing the Original Costume and two the new costume from The Dark Knight. If you want the new costume, get the DX02.

If you want the Original Costume, buy the one marked "The Dark Knight Original Costume" (or something like that), remember he wears the OC for a while at the beginning of the movie.


If you don't want to spend an arm and a leg for an Original Costume Batman get the Takara Batman.

btw,
Where can i purchase a batman dx that does not leak?
Any good online stores that sell the non leak version?
I was looking at redford films.com, they have DX batman for $230 shipped but im not sure they are leak proof???

I got mine from gohastings.com and have had no problems. They have him for $179.99. The box will probably be beat up. Others have had bad experiences but they've been aces for me so far, besides the box condition.

I've had mine for about two months and I have no leaking at all. If you make sure that you buy one from the DCD shipment (US seller) the worst case scenario is that the bicep are might leak, but the ab leak is fixed in that batch.

They said something along the lines of its not damaged enough. I mean, its not falling to pieces but its wet all the time, and i dont want it to rot over time. So they said they only replace them in extreme cases, and then they ignored my emails after that.

Actually Mag.....as much as I still enjoy Bats......compared to Blade's posing capabilities.....Bats pretty much is a statue....especially now with these hard abs of his.

I've seen many cool walking poses, opera poses and holding the cape back poses.....but those are all pretty much of him standing straight up with his arms and legs moved ever so slightly.

Therefore I will graciously have to disagree with you on this one.

He is a statue who also just so happens to have 32 points of articulation
