They said something along the lines of its not damaged enough. I mean, its not falling to pieces but its wet all the time, and i dont want it to rot over time. So they said they only replace them in extreme cases, and then they ignored my emails after that.

I´m pretty confused and I´m sorry for you.
Mine has not THAT of damage either.
The rubber under the abs is completly faded and it´s always wet and I´ll get mine replaced.
Really strange.

jye4ever, don't forget the legs, they'll split at the crotch if it goes just a bit too far beyond the regular stance of perfectly straight.

Thanks dude, it seems most people got replacements but i seem to be an unlucky one. I've totally lost respect for Hot Toys and am reluctant to buy anything of theirs again. Their quality control seems terrible.

Yeah, the DX obviously has more than its share of problems, but I wouldn't totally give up on HT. I'm not sure how many other figures have QC issues, but the T-800 is in the running for figure of the year as far as I'm concerned.

It is a fairly high maintenance figure. It's almost like you have to wait for it to get ready before you can go out!!

Have you tried posting messages on their facebook page? They ignored my emails for ages but I got an immediate reply when I started putting messages up on the Hot Toys FB page. Worth a try...

I got mine from gohastings.com and have had no problems. They have him for $179.99. The box will probably be beat up. Others have had bad experiences but they've been aces for me so far, besides the box condition.

are these HT DX batman limited edition? Will they sell out if I do not get one now? In other words, is there rarity and future value for them or is it just a good looking figure?

Beat up boxes huh....have they been opened or something. Im looking for factory sealed.

Some have been displayed. The one that I got was not in the original factory sealed box, but the figure itself had not be handled. I also bought it for $100. Hastings is kind of a last resort go to place when things are either sold out everywhere or they are having a sale. If you want a figure in a factory sealed box you'll have to go some where else. Of course you will have to pay for it too.

Yeah, im not saying every figure is made poorly, just i've had a few that i've bought new and have had little problems. My P1 had a broken wrist computer, my Guardian Predator had something broke on the oxygen mask, my DX Batman has the leaking abs, and my DX Joker's magnet on the back of the head came off as soon as i took the back off. Also the name plate was totally loose on both DX Jokers i bought. And the name plate on my DX Batman was a bit scratched and scraped. None of these are major problems (except the leaking abs) but when they all add up it just seems like the QC isnt really there. Perhaps im biased because i've had a few bad experiences.

I've seen many cool walking poses, opera poses and holding the cape back poses.....but those are all pretty much of him standing straight up with his arms and legs moved ever so slightly.

Therefore I will graciously have to disagree with you on this one.

He is a statue who also just so happens to have 32 points of articulation...

For a statue, I sure spend a lot of time posing him.

Yo Mag, is that the original cape on your Batman or a custom. I want a DX, but never was able to purchase one and want to know if that is the cape he came with? Nice pose BTW.

No. There are 2 mods to that figure.

Commtech's excellent neck mod, and a cape by lforigno. (The one in the pics above is his The Dark Knight Long cape.)

The cape is much better than the one that comes with it from Hot Toys. And for the price of lforigno's capes it's a simple and cheap way to improve the figure imo.

I'm trying to find close up pics of Batman face. The reason why is because HT doesn't have nostrils sculpted. Got me thinking after looking at how detailed the SDCC Batman Arkham Asylum figure is and why HT didn't put any?
