Bigger shoulders and the figure would like the first TDK Batman, which was too wide shouldered.
When I look at the pics of DX Batman from front on, my only thoughts are the neck needs to be wider and the head a bit wider and rounder, from the neck down looks good to me.

Well here's the problem bro: We're not 100% sure yet if the suit in that pic is the new one. So making modifications to it without that knowledge is pointless. When HT reveals the new suit, or confirms that the suit in the proto pics is the new one and not just the v.1 TDK suit THEN we can start talking about changes etc.
To my knowledge, the only things confirmed so far as new are the head sculpts, accessories and the utility belt that holds the sticky gun. That's it.

You can easily see it's double lined there.
The hand scale is fine. What is so wrong on them that nobody has commented on yet again!
Is the texture colour. The gloves should be painted some form of matte jet black. Right now and always has been they are the same as every part of the figure. Somewhat dull subtle shiny grey plastic rubber. There's no distinctive look between the blacks to the hands and the gauntlets, and there should be.
I just cannot believe that you cannot see this. The figure shoulder pads are not curvy enough towards the chest. None of the figures have been.

I get that part. I just don't understand the hand part, it's like you're asking for the hands to be the same size as a normal TT hand while forgetting that there's gloves on those hands. They're sculpted.. but I mean in reality, Batman is wearing gloves. Not surgical gloves either. So the hands should be slightly bigger than a normal, bare hand.
You can see the gloves clearly here. They're not skin tight.

Well, perhaps the double material is thinner per layer, or the length adds weight, but in Snake's defense, I can see why suspect a singler layer, it does lay on the figure better than the first cape.
Maybe people just don't care much, in the movie, you never could see a distinction, it all looked mostly black, it's in promo photos that subtle differences like that show up, like the kevlar on the legs. I actually think the gloves would look goofy if they were significantly different colored from the rest of the figure, I'm glad they're the same. This detail branches off into that grey area where it's like, totally accurrate to the costume, or accurrate to the screen appearance. The suit may be distinct, but in the movie, outside of the silver on his upper body, it all looked one toned with just different textures (mesh, kevlar, etc.), my preference would be one color look on the figure, even if the suit isn't that way, it'll look better and more like in the movie.

If you look at the context of conversation where I posted that quote, I didn't need say anymore, there were several posts between myself, Devil and some other user who posted an image suggesting a change in the slope and width of his shoulders and I was contradicting the opinion on changing the shape of the slope on the shoulders of the figure.

IMHO regardless of what people say is wrong with this and how Medicom's version is awesome. I don't think in any way that Medicom's even touches this or even comes close. Regardless of the knit picking it's the best TDK batman figure. Bar none.

Thank you you have eloquently explained every thing i was attempting to say about the shoulders pads. Also i think you are right about the hands I am going to have to repaint my batman hands to make them look right.
By the way he also needs slightly more clavicle as well

I think so too. Not sure what it is, but Hot Toys' design for the batsuits has a more realistic look than Medicom's. Medicom has body proportion going for it, that's about it as far as I've seen, that and wired cape.

GOD the joker looks incredible there! Did they change the tie or something? If it shipped like that i'd be ecstatic, even with the wrong color blue suit coat! Man, amazing work HT, hope they all look like that!

The batsuit looks the same. Shame, I hoped they would have used the opportunity to show the alleged "new" batsuit at Tokyo toy show.

Well I don't know about you .. I own all the hottoys batman figure and the batman TDK suit figure. I've also seen the DX batman figure today at the toyshunter shop... trust me.. if you were going to get the figure THE SAME as the display .. you will be gravely disappointed..
The suit is EXACTLY the same as the v.1 TDK suit and YES it's still bulky (but I think they changed the body so the chest doesnt stick out as much .. but the arms are still big ... and the chest is still too big) .. not to mention that the texture hasnt improved.
If you see the REAL prototype INSTEAD of pictures and compare.. you will get what I mean. hope this helps

yeah I own every TDK figure by ht eccept the original suit batman. I'll still be getting this though even if it is the same thing. Movable facial expressions,movable eyes and light up sonar eyes is enough to see me on this figure.
