Well, my Batman has finally arrived in the UK after being posted last Friday. There must be one very knackered carrier pigeon convalescing right now Let's see how long it takes parcel Farce to deliver it.......

Eergh! Parcel force. With me and my buddy Gray wolf's figures they kept them at their depot and charged us about £13 for the handling fee. Not to mention you have to pay customs charges. May be different for you though bud.

I wanna try Commtech's neck mod but don't know how he popped the neck open. Any tips? I don't wanna damage the neck too much.

Introduce the tips in closed position inside the neck hole and then using some force open the pliers. That will split the neck in halves. I've done this 4 times already and it splits open clean with no damage.

Cheers bud, although he's not in me hands just yet. Can't wait to see the figure "in the flesh" so to speak. I can't believe those gits had to the cheek to charge you a handling fee?! I think I'm OK as it's been given a GB tracking number and is now on Parcelfarce 48 (But watch this space) . So theoretically I will finally get the bad boy on Friday at the latest

Yeah, I ended up forking out roughly £38 just to get it from parcel force. What a jib. At least I got it though eh

Great figure mate you won't be disappointed, although the oil leaking on the biceps can dampen things a little, excuse the pun!

Got word from HT today that my replacement body is on his way to me now.

Can´t wait for it and beginning to mid next week it should be mine...

Careful Maglor. Make sure you're not spreading the legs too far apart or the crotch will start to tear. I had mine spread out too far and now there a small crack in the rubber in the crotch area. Luckily I caught it early or it would've ripped right through.

What was the objective for this thermoplastic rubber? and don't say it was for more detail because just go and look at the v1 and DX side by side, the rubber is just as detailed for the mesh and grooves. The v1 wont crack because it's not stiff as heck like the DX. Even to this day it's amazing how much the v1 rubber will fold back on itself without cracking.

The DX rubber is far too stiff it has no give so it breaks beyond a certain point. Worst of all the vinyl paint coating thats over the rubber. That too is so easily marked.

If the v1 rubber was used on the DX you could still have those nice new kevlar plates above the abs as they are separate pieces.

This isn't a rant but to some degree it feels more like the DX was a downgrade path for the stiff rubber as it cracks so easily. If anything I'd say the Takara's rubber holds itself together better than this unless you go nuts with poses, then it'll split.

I wasn't going to post bigger as it's ridiculous but just as a sample for you. My limit for upload is 1400. From what I measured the native photo height of this picture if I remember correctly is 6.6ft.

Then a sample at 2000x which is less than half the true size. It's a little fuzzy though as I never had space to hook it up to the tripod.

Breathtaking is an understatement!

The medicom TDK batman material is FAR superior to the DX or the V1 - no comparison even. Looks much more like the movie, and has absolutely zero deterioration over time

Yeah.....but the DX can shoot battery acid oil out from his abs and arm pits......can the Medi do that....hunh....hunh...can it......
