I can't believe this thing is going for $270+ just ridiculous.

i swear I saw some on ebay 2 weeks ago for $170-180

as for gohastings, i typed it on google, only to have a website about music and games come up

270+ for one that doesnt leak doesnt seem harsh at all since there are like hardly know out there it seems... I got my order in right after it went up for pre order still now oil guess Im one of the lucky ones though...

Mag. The Medi pants allow more articulation and look better to me. The Boots are are also a lot nicer, and I would know as I own the HT boots.

I don't care why they chose the Medi body, this is my MeDiX mod, and I'm doing it a bit differently. If the arms don't fit on, I'll sand down the HT arms. It's going to be hopefully one of my greatest creations ever, it's just too bad no ones supports me on it.

And you may not be trying to give me a hard time, but you kind of are.

I wish you could just respect that I want to combine these figures, and that I don't view the DX as perfect.

I think the Medix has the potential to be a really nice figure if the mods are done by someone experienced. I think that if I tried to to combine the two figures I would just end up with two ruined figures. I don't want to see that happen to you. Earlier you said that you would be careful and take it slow. Please remember to do that when you get the figures together. Don't let the excitement get the better of you and do something hasty.

Not the words I would have chosen, and I wont be laughing if it happens, but that is what I fear.

guys just lay off ed man. if he wants to do the mod, let him. what he's doing with the fig should have no bearing on your enjoyment of the figure.

i'm satisfied as _____* with just the neck mod i did. afterward, the DX just shines more. if ed feels like doing the medx to make HIS fig shine, then whatever.

basically, just suggest to him that it's not necessary. the decision is ultimately his...and also no need to suggest things like "selling a bad custom in his future". if he screws up, then that means it's either a learning experience for him so he can improve on his mod skills for future figs, or a sign that he shouldn't do more mods.

no need to burn the dude at the stake man.

If you are just going to take it apart, then yes it seems ridiculous. Try and find an incomplete one if you're set on a Medix.

One more thought. I was looking at the sleeves on my DX and they pull down suprizingly easily, making the bicep plates sit right where they should be.

mokneyrobotmaster is really onto something here. I hope to find a way to get those bicep plates in the right place without any negative effect on articulation, and then in my eyes the DX will be absolutely perfect.



Monkey, my main concern with pulling the sleaves down is that it will make it harder to get the gauntlets on nice and high. I've found that high gauntlet placement is the key to good wrist articulation.

Any thoughts about cutting excess sleeve off and maybe even cutting a skinny triangle piece out of the sleeve and re-gluing it together so it fits tight to the forearm, thus allowing high placement of the gauntlets?

same here bud, though still waiting for mine to come (hopefully by the end of this week)

I want to know this as well, as I don't want to lose any articulation be it the wrist or the whole arm itself as I love to switch the poses for my figures.

I'm using enough of the figure to make buying the whole thing worth it. But the figure itself is not worth over $200.

I plan on using the sonar head and all of the accessories.

Yes, you'll want to cut the excess off. Cutting the thin triangle in the back of the sleeve works. Sorry I forgot to mention this, my bad.

Im new to the Hot toys game, just ordered a IM mk VI and War machine, and really want the DX Joker and batman, where and how would be the best place to get these near retail? I know the absurdity of that.

Okay, so you cut the triangle in the back and cut of some of the sleeve length?

What else did you do?

What tweaks did you make?

Do you glue the sleeves back together where you cut out the triangle? Do you actually have to glue it to the body or does making the sleeves skinnyer hold it down in place? Do you have to use super glue, of could I use some other more pliable glue?

Could you do a tutorial with bullet points or 1,2,3 steps?

Sorry to ask so many questions, but what you have come up with fixes the only problem I had with the DX and will make him so much more amazing! And I don't want to screw it up!

Okay, here we go.
Step 1- Remove hands and gauntlets.
Step 2- Carefully remove the bicep armor.
Step 3- Apply superglue (I used gel superglue) to the front of the wrist of the TT body.
Step 4- Pull the sleeve down over the glue until sleeve and wrist are flush, or close to flush, and hold sleeve tight to the wrist till glue is dry and the sleeve holds firm.
Step 5- Pinch the excess rubber from the back of the sleeve, or unglued side, with your thumb and index finger. Take scissors and trim away the excess rubber. Make sure you don't cut too much off!!
Step 6- Glue bicep armor back in place.
Step 7- Repeat steps 1-6 with other arm.
Step 8- Put gauntlets and hands back on.
That's it! I would like to note that if the elbow joints on the TT body are loose you may lose some articulation. Good luck!
