They make a big deal of his back tat in the specs, but not a single shot of it, why, why not show off such nice work, unless maybe they haven't painted it on him yet.
I know, right? They also don't show the Single Action Army (Revolver) in any of the shots apart from the ones with all the accessories laid out. The glasses, too!

Also his head isn't on the body properly in a couple of the shots!

He also used a different rifle at the start of the movie on the tanker, the one he comes with is from the end scenes!

Not that I mind any of the above of course! :D I adore this figure.

Regarding the jeans, has anyone seen jeans that actually look good at this scale? Maybe Wolverine? I don't think there's many good pairs out there!

Given the release date expected for the figure and some of the issues with it, plus the photos having the usual not final text, maybe they're still working on it but wanted to get something up so people would know the announcement wasn't B.S. If they committed to making figures and feared interest in them could fade if they waited too long, they may have jumped to get this up as soon as possible, even if not final.

Their clothes have been so good lately, it'd be surprising to see something so so. Wolverine's jeans are some of the nicest 1/6 jeans I've seen.

I think the pants could be temporary too. Thats the one thing i'm sure will be corrected.

Never understood how they can get some stuff up for PO before the movie comes out and others long after it has come and gone from the theaters. Seems like they would want to catch lightning in the bottle when the hype strikes.

My guess deciding what liceneses are best bets for their resources. Expendables was a gamble, it could flop as much as succeed, so why invest in cranking out figures if it flops, then you have a product no one wants, like the Spirit line, but something like Iron Man 2 and Terminator 2 have history to show they'll sell well, so crank that out while you've got high demand and then do something like Expendables if you see an opportunity to sell it once the movie's out and you can see how it's received.

I would assume the knife will be added at some point, unless there's some odd rights reason they can't do it, not sure why Hibben or the studio would do such a thing, but you never know.

Won't be too hard to add the knife if they don't do it. Hot Toys Predator Billy springs to mind

Usually with HT's its what you see is what you get. I have no doubt the pants will be upgraded though. The knife is a mystery.

Usually, unless someone points out something they missed and it's not enough to justify another figure. With all that comes with this, I think this'll be the lone Sly figure from the movie so I think they'll put as much into it as feasible.

Like I said, they may also be still refining a final look, no one ever complains about a better product, so if the proto's good looking and only going to get better, no biggy. Look at the first Sarah Connor, they had one headsculpt planned for it initially, within a day or so, they had the new one shown off. Why even put up the initial photos to only show a better portrait days later, and I'm sure it was more than just the intial fan feedback driving that revised head, it was awfully quick fix.

I think it'd be interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes putting these figures out.

Would i prefer rubber with a chance of deterioration ? Yeah actually because if you have common sense and know how to keep and care for your figures you won't have any problems... if you are not taking care of your stuff you should be buying toys and there are plenty of joints to be found there too...

Just my opinion though :D

My view on taking care of my 1/6 figures is to take them from the box, pose them and then put them in the detolf all with great care ..and pretty much leave them alone forever, with rubber bodies i can't do that, there will always be a chance they may deteriorate ...and besides i personally don't like how rubber bodies look, but i do respect your opinion, but thats just my one.

hot toys is breaking the bank, so many great figures coming out,
i hope to get this one, but i can't afford them all.

Have no intention to buy this. Haven't been too thrilled with Kojun's stuff, but all credit to him, he hit the mark with this one. Well done Kojun. Keep up this standard, it's what we, or should I say I, expect.

Weird how, in this pic, he looks like he's looking off to his right. Must be the :chillpill:(what happened to the Mona Lisa icon?) effect.

How can people not like Kojuns work so far with Hot Toys?. John Connor, Aldo Raine, Goemon, Tony Stark,Wolverine was not bad, not to mention Kojun has been credited with head art on other figures. Eom Jea Sung (GOX) has done some great work as well.

It depends what you're into. I'm not into those licenses, so for me the work he has done, on the licenses I like, hasn't been up to par, particularly when comparing it to those licenses you mentioned Valfar.

So for me, the "Wolverine was not bad", is expressed as 'the Wolverine was not good. It mightn't even be his fault. Time constrictions may force him to concede to the licensor and or Hot Toys executives. Knowing how good his work can be, even before e.g. Wolverine, means he is quite capable, so I was disappointed. Big Deal. If others weren't, there's no need to take on board anything I comment about, and if others are happy, they ought to stay that way.

I think every sculptor has hits and misses. Yulli is fantastic with Heath Ledger, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Stallone, but couldn't get Bale right. Kojun's Connor and Wolverine portraits are very close but not as immediately recognizable as Aldo and Barney. I think this is good reason to have numerous sculptors on hand, with each having strengths, you should be able to get one really good one out of someone. I'm not let down by Kojun's work on this Stallone, but I'm surprised Yulli didn't do it simply because of doing 2 Rambos and the updated Rocky, she had Stallone down in 1/6 and it seems like they stick with her when she's got something working, like doing Dutch and then the T-800.

Maybe it was ment to go up last night.

They prolly didn't want it stealing their thunder away from their spectacular Beavis and Butthead clowns or maybe they were just bitter that we were more excited for this so they unceremoniously put it up with no announcement at all. Prolly both.

Did you guys consider that the reason they dont have the knife with them is because it's Gunner's?

I mean, sure, Ross carried it around throughout most of the flick, but still. It wasnt his.
