Wonder how this will compare as a Superman figure, side by side, with the old Superman Returns 2 in 1? Obviously we all love Reeve and you kind of expect this figure to be the best Superman figure ever, but I wonder how it will compare as a representation of the character?

I guess that depends on what you perceive to be the more important qualities of a figure as a representation of Superman. The 2-in-1 figure has a generic face (looks nothing like Routh really), and the paint apps are serviceable, but very basic by today's HT standards. Though by being less realistic, it actually makes for a better comic Superman face IMO. The outfit of Reeve Supes is more comic-accurate than the Returns version.

Plus we don't know if the new sculpt was raised on the neck post to enable it to look down a bit, which would make the neck look skinnier than normal too. Since it's probably the prototype body still, I'd bet that any stress on the neck could potentially pop the seam so they'd want to be gentle with it.

Considering the Superman Returns figure looks almost nothing like Brandon Routh, I'd say it's already a better representation.

I purchased Christopher Reeve's skull and will compare the HT sculpt to in when I get it in hand.

Very true...all that can be said about this and even Indy is we won't know for certain until they start shipping... And even then some will be happy and some won't.

Guys, you have to see this pics

A newbie here and haven't log in for quite some time... a friend had just advised me that the photos I took had made it's way over here.
I took those photos at ACG in Guangzhou,China last October 4th and yes,the head sculpt seems different from the last time I saw it at the ACG in HK last July.
