sorry but i think you can leave that flying pose to a rest. from how it was posed and all, not serving its purpose. just my opinion.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Hey Guys.... and Gals

My Superman arrived yesterday and I opened him today. He really is a great figure, but mine has two issues I haven't seen anyone else have troubles with. So I thought I would post.

No it's not a sweaty forehead or crooked and or wrinkled S on the chest, my problems are the wire in the cape is broken and is poking out at about the left elbow.

Also the left arm of the suit is very short and showing maybe 1/4th of an inch of the body, I have tried ummm futzing it down but it still shows a good amount of forearm and just springs back up.

I will be contacting SSC on Monday to see what can be done.

Thanks

your picture is great, it would go well with this storyline:

Web of Spider-Man #39

"Petty Crimes"

We start with an ominous scene of a knifeman standing over a woman vagrant. He's ready to do some damage when Spidey – who, care of ASM300, is back in the red and blue – jumps in. Spider-Man still has the 'Die Spinne' on his back as he got the suit in Europe during the vs Wolverine one-shot.

As he's webbing up the crook, the bag lady starts pulling on a thread dangling from his costume and ends up pulling off half of the back section! Spidey swings off, telling he to call the police for the knife guy.

Elsewhere and Nathan Lubensky (who has been out of the books since Web Of 24 but recently returned in ASM300) is missing May. He tells a tramp on the street that he doesn't know the time as his watch is at home and the tramp promptly goes and breaks in to steal it.

In Pete and MJ's new apartment, Pete is trying to fix his costume without much luck. MJ calls one of her favourite designers and asks him to make Pete a costume for a fancy dress party. Pete then calls May and is told about a break-in at Nathan's.

The tramp that broke into Nathan's also stole a diamond ring – his and May's engagement ring. Pete comes by to help him clean up and the next day, fresh with his new costume, he goes around to the pawn shops to see what people have been selling.

Spidey eventually comes across the right shop … while the tramp is trying to pawn the ring. The tramp runs and escapes quicker than a regular person, leaving Spider-Man perplexed. We see the 'tramp' fishing a purple costume from a back alley…

Between Pete and Nathan, they work out that the tramp is Norton Fester – The Meteorman (who was last seen in Spectacular 41). Pete ran into him near Aunt May's the previous evening and puts two and two together. He rushes off to May's.

He battles Meteorman to submission and Nathan turns up. Nate retrieves his ring from Fester and tells May he still wants to marry her.
more snagged thread problems again. :slap

Man, it seems as if Hot Toys is really being hit hard with QC problems as of late. I wonder what's going on with them.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Mine is going back.

After cape futzing.... (thing just came out like a snake) Wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary.

WTF! (guess i gotta wait about 2 more week to enjoy supes again what a tease!)

Also had a really loose right arm joint, that didn't really bother me.

It can't be put back into the cape?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I was tempted to go the exclusive route but chose not to. Living in So Cal at times doesn't make the exclusive worth the price. It really has to be something that I find worthwhile. As cool as I find that kryptonite piece I won't miss it if I don't have it. It really is personal choice. That DX Luke with the Vader helmet I find very worthwhile; some don't.
With the Supes face expression it doesn't work around his neck or anywhere near him if it's being used in a diorama. As a display piece, like in Cocoboloboy's set-up, it's nice.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

That's completely understandable. Living in California and having to fork out tax plus the shipping cost on the figure comes to a lot for a little kryptonite necklace.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Yeah, I have the exclusive and you know what? It's still in the plastic tray untouched. Really, to all those that don't have the ex. you're not missing out. A little gold sticker and a kryptonite necklace, a necklace.

It'd be cool if were getting a Hackman Lex Luthor, or like Ripper said an alternate concerned/cringing Superman head sculpt but without those the kryptonite rock doesn't serve any purpose. If they do make Luthor Hot Toys literally included the only weapon he'd ever come with.

If I had it to do all over again I would have passed on the ex. I assumed that the free shipped was on both, but apparently it was only on the reg, and with the box supposedly being oversized I paid almost $17 for the EX shipping. While $17 isn't all that much, it wasn't worth it for the Kryptonite right in my opinion.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Yes, it was. No matter how pointless you may think it is that you got the EX with Kryptonite, the secondary market disagrees. By selling that Kryptonite, you could make back that shipping charge, and I've seen some that cover half the cost of the figure.

Absolutely Super shots, mattman. :clap

Great shots stonemonk!

Got mine a couple days ago. Finally got around to taking some pics. LOVE it! Easily my favorite Hot Toys figure!

If I cared about resale value this would matter. I buy what I like if it's value goes up good if it goes down good. Don't get me wrong I get this aspect about this hobby it's just not what drives my collecting.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I'm not saying that, I'm just saying that if you are concerned about the price you paid for shipping, and you don't really care about the Kryptonite, why not just sell the thing and make some money?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I know some people like selling items; I don't. It's not something I enjoy.
