These latest in hand pics do look more interesting, but not sure the color variant conversation holds too much water. Those Iron Men color variants were novelty items, they never existed on screen, they were just for fun, real variants for collectors. Perfect for con exclusives. Supes is supposed to match an on screen character and it doesn't do that job very well. I'm still gonna pick one up at some stage though, as I love most things Superman. Good idea with the curl Robbie.

They arn't perfect but capture christopher reeve better imo

Here it's mine, arrived today morning (was expecting it until monday)

Some iphone pictures. The contrast isn't that noticeable here because of the lights and I guess because of the iphone camera. It looks pretty much the same as the regular supes in the pictures but in hand looks way better. Here it is finally..

Why should we have to keep spending more money to fix stuff these companies can't get right for the money they are charging for this stuff? It's pretty effing ridiculous.

Help me out guys. I'm seeing lighter brownish hair on the evil superman compared to regular supermans black hair. Am I seeing things or is that the case?

If so, I like lol. The missing grey streaks does suck, but ah well.

The "evil" version indeed have the brownish hair. And the suit is darker and the headsculpt has the 5 o clock shade and some darker shades on the eyes.

But in this pictures you can't see them. In person the diference is more obvious. I really like it.

It definitely looks much better than expected. Even the skin tone is darker like the movie version.

I think the figure is ok and with a new head all good imo.
Should'nt have to add or mod for the money I agree but customising is half the fun making something better.

If others are happy as is, fair enough, not trying to preach to the converted.

i think it is what it is. some people may not like him for many reasons but that's their opinion. some may like him for many reasons and that's their opinion. if the opinion is negative, make it a respectful negative opinion. you shouldn't have to like it or find something good in the figure to participate in discussion about it.

i personally wish the evil superman came out first because i like it better than the first. however since i bought the first and don't see much difference except for the base, i probably won't buy evil supes.

I decided to pull the trigger. Had reward points so I got him under $200. I think he will look great next to my original Supes and I like the idea that someone else had of putting the Kryptonite chain around his neck as well.

It was actually between him and the golden age Cap but looking at the in hand pics that figure looks like a total disaster.

i ordered the golden age cap then after seeing rory's pics, i cancelled. i'm about to have some rewards points mature so when they do, i'll reorder at a dramatic discount. that way the price won't be that hard to swallow.

Seeing the latest pics it seems apparent HT has put some effort into the paintjob and the costume colours seem pretty accurate.
Note to customisers though, Reeve's Wig in Superman III didn't have any grey, they were light brown streaks in the sides...
