The figure itself is just beautiful. Just forget for a moment that is a repaint.

It has an amazing Reeve headsculpt (already existing but still amazing), the suit colors darker are really well done, the new paint job on the HS is good (could be better but good enough), and a really good looking stand/base (just a little to big for me).

So in summary if you are or not a fan of the Reeve superman, you will enjoy this figure. If you are willing to pay the price or if you get one for free, even better, lol...

P.S. I'm loving it!!

Not good enough articulation..

And the only thing I can say to you is, the waiting will be worth it, trust me..

As I'm not in the US, it's difficult for me to buy from SSC, that's why I always buy the toy fair exclusives that I want from a Hong Kong seller on ebay. In total I ended up paying like extra 25 bucks above the retail price + international shipping, so I'm ok with that..

Hope more people can post more pictures of this figure to see more poses and better quality..

No problem Gizmo thank's for trying. That pic just always pop's in my head every time i see the base.. Still superstoked to get another superman in a couple months. Its been a Amazing set of release's this year for us collector's...

You're welcome highlander1. Just play the game of waiting and have patience and you will enjoy this supes. Every year that passes, hot toys bring out more and more and more great stuff (with some exceptions lol). The only sad thing about it is the higher prices

I've never understood that. You get it first, you pay less and you get reward points. What am I missing?

I cant believe this is just a repaint of the old Supes, looks very different, sure HT did not tweak the sculpt, other then repaint ?

In the extras of the "Superman IV" DVD, you can see all of the discarded scenes, and they were actually going to use a villain that looked and acted a lot more like Bizarro, a classic Superman villain.

They had a lot of footage already filmed, including some fights, but the studio execs didn't like it, and they had to re-write and re-shoot a lot, and instead of choosing another villain from the comics, they created a new one which wasn't anywhere near as good as what might have been if they just used that "Bizarro".
