I'm just hoping the Mystique PF comes soon and unchanged so I feel better about canceling this.

If it's anything like the Red Dress Moria Orc PF, the Chinese factory will put an Mystique.

Although I am still getting one I am a bit disapointed in Sideshow. I feel bad for those who are not board memebers and are getting this blindly. Sideshow needs to update the images at least 1 week prior to processing day. I think that will eliminate a large amount of wasted shipping money.

And no thanks to SS. If it hadn't have been for the guys who posted those early pic's we'd have all been in for quite a shock this Christmas. :horror This is our own real version of "The Nightmare Before Christmas".

Yeah man, I'm extremely thankful to all that posted pics!

We often get people panicking after seeing the first in-hand photos of something, but this is a fairly major problem I think. And I just yesterday converted my order to a flex-pay one, which means I get hit with fees if I cancel. I imagine I could fix the color with some paint, but I shouldn't have to do that.

I'm in the same flex-pay boat. this was my first lotr PF. I hope that sense it wont ship for three months they might have come up with a way to fix this. I still want to see some other peoples in hand pics..

I'm on Flexpay too. And this is not to time to be throwing money away. This is total bullspit. Still, my finger is hovering over the cancel button. If I send it back will I get a full refund?

You have 30days to return it for a refund.... but not sure about the Flexpay part. I don't think they can keep your money if you return the product.

As I understand it, you get charged anywhere from $20 to $60 depending on when you cancel it (i.e. depending on how many payments you have made). What I don't know for sure is if they charge you anything if you haven't made any payments at all yet. My guess is yes.

And yes, you can return it even if you buy it on flex-pay, but it would cost more than canceling now since I believe you don't get shipping returned and you have to pay for the shipping on the way back. Can someone confirm that?

Yea could someone confirm weather or not you get charged for FlexPay if you have not made a payment yet?

Isn't it just one person so far though? It's funny that he's the only one to get this while no one else has even gotten a shipping notice. It almost makes me think that Sideshow sent one out to test the waters or something. :huh

Nah, between here and the SF board, I know I've seen pics from different folks. I'm pretty convinced at this point that this is what we're gonna get. The pic of the Orc next to Lurtz is what convinces me the most. I really hope the do fix it, because I really wanted this one!

Straight from SSC:

FLEXPAY ITEM CANCELLATION FEES
Due to the increased administrative costs of the Flex Pay option, Sideshow will charge Flex Pay customers a cancellation fee of $20.00 for cancellations occurring before the first payment date, $40.00 for cancellations occurring after the first payment and before the second payment date, and $60.00 for cancellations occurring after the second payment and before the third payment date. (Based on a 3 payment plan, but fees may increase with number of payments.) If the item’s cost is less then $199, the cancellation fees may be scaled lower in proportion to the final item’s cost.

The cancellation fee will be charged directly to the customer’s credit card. By choosing Flex Pay in placing your order, you will be agreeing to pay any applicable cancellation fee. This is clearly noted on the item’s ordering page as well as during the check out process.

Cool Cheers Reefer this helped :monkey1

That's good news! I look forward to hearing more developments, maybe there is hope after all.

This is a clear case of me canceling this because I've had the opportunity to see what I'm paying for, and I'm not happy. If there is a design flaw in the final product then we should not be penalized for canceling. I'll be contacting Sideshow Monday morning. I don't think it'll make a bit of difference, but at least I'll be lending my voice to angry crowd.

Someone spoke to Sideshow and they're awared and acknowledged the boo boo. I feel confident that they'll fix it. Let's all be happy :)

That's reassuring and I hope it's true. Considering I still have one more Flex payment before mine ships I hope they fix it in a hurry.

Remember how they "fixed" the screw-up where the regular edition of the 12" Han Solo figure all got the exclusive blaster instead of the regular one? They "corrected" the pictures online (after the figure was sold out) to make it look like it was supposed to be that way all along. I gotta say, if they couldn't figure out a way to correct an issue with a tiny piece of plastic, I don't have a lot of confidence that they can fix this. At best they might let us flex-payers cancel without a fee.

We'll see. I'm not sure which is worse, though. Them knowing about the change and sending it out anyway, or not knowing about the change at all. I mean, don't they have any oversight in place?

Well, they fixed even a major one with the Stealth Iron Man that came with all scratches in them. Maybe it has to be a major problem for them to do something about it, but only letting the minor problem slip away.

Who knows...let's wait and see what happens.
