I can't believe it, but I actually agree with a Missouri fan
You've finally seen the light.
I can't believe it, but I actually agree with a Missouri fan
I agree with something Matt said. If the actual costume was this color and NL changed it to what we see. Is that wrong? I dont think so. I mean people in the SW section gripe that they want it to match the costume exactly well if thats what happened here why is that wrong?
Looking at this I'd change and say either the cardinal or the cameilian.
It's wrong when you don't update your web site with photos of the production piece before it ships, Josh. If NL stepped in and said "Hey, you've got to change this." Fine. I can live with that. The bottom line is a lot of us don't like the change and it should have been brought to our attention before they started charging credit cards. Those of us on Flexpay really got the shaft. Because we'll pay a fee if we cancel, or pay if we keep the order and then return it. Damned if you, damned if you don't. And I for one don't appreciate being in a situation like that. I don't want to come off as bitter, but times are hard. If I'm not 100% satisfied with the end result then I think I have a right to voice a complaint that's all. Nothing wrong with a healthy debate.
Who cares what it's called -- the point is that it's not the same as on the prototype.
Ah now here comes the old bait and switch comments.
If the product doesn't come close what is being advertised, I fail to see how that ISN'T the case.
Admittedly the proto looked better. And even if this was a change from the licensee, I'd say that they should have updated the website photos.
But it does appear that this matches the costume as it actually was, even if it wasn't how it appeared on screen.
Certainly the sculpting and impact of the entire piece is not diminished by this difference - and I do think that once people have it in hand it will be almost a non-issue.
Very intelligent response.
Then you clearly don't understand the term.
It doesn't even remotely match the prototype or the actual costumes used in the film....
This is feeling like a bait and switch scam to me. If I had ordered a pair of $300 brown leather shoes and they showed up as red pleather, I'd demand my money back and report them to the BBB.
I'm going to wait until mine shows up, and see how Sideshow responds before I make my final judgment, but these pictures are painting a grim outlook.

Now matter how many little happy faces you put at the end of your one liners, you really do come off as condescending and a know-it-all.
Bait and switch = showing/advertising one thing and then delivering something else. I think Badvermin has a valid point. I'm not suggesting SS was out to perform a bait and switch, but fact remains we are now getting what we were shown.
