so you're a band wagon fan with no reason to make them your team aside from being winners?

i have no knock about the team other than that they were handed everything they ever won via a couple of fixed lotterys followed by refs that hand floppers like parker and ginobli every call. whats not to love?

I'm a Spurs fan, would you be ignorant enough to call me a band wagon fan? And fixed lottery? where the hell are you getting that from? The nuggets won't win anything for a long time, don't be hating on a sound Spurs team because of that.

How old are you, where were you from, when did you pick the Spurs as your team and why?

Provide those details and I'll maybe let you off the hook, but otherwise, sure, I'll call you a bandwagon fan. Does it hurt your feelings?

And everyone that follows the NBA knows the lottery is fixed. Why else, in a time when fans will watch anything on TV, do they not broadcast the lottery happening for all to see? Instead they do it in the back room and only show you the results. There is a reason why the powerball is done on live TV, to make sure people know its not fake. The NBA gets away with it because its all privately owned. In actuallity they could probably legally get away with fixing the games if they wanted to, just like WWE baby.

Nah, I'm just an unhelpful member. :lol

I'm just being direct here. Homeboy came out of nowhere and asked if I would consider him a bandwagon fan. Without any reason to think otherwise, sure I will. Why not? If I am ignorant, tell me why.

If some guy from Missouri likes the Bulls and some guy from NY likes the Spurs, yeah, I'll assume they are bandwagoning. Your explanation of liking the Bulls because MJ kicked ass is bandwagoning. There isn't anything evil about it, but thats what it is.

I'll admit to being a bandwagon fan of the Rams around 2000 because both Faulk and Warner kicked ass, at least I admit it. :lol

Prog sometimes you really are a tool. :lol

:exactly:

He's obviously bent because his team SUCKS and his only "ammo" is to run around like a troll and call everyone a bandwagoner because we're all enjoying great seasons and he's not. Its quite sad and pathetic really...:lol

and waving the fact your hand selected team has won some trophies makes you feel superior. sounds like low self confidence to go pick a team thats won already. :lol

at least the guys cheering for the Lakers actually live in CA, though it defys the law of averages that they're all Laker fans instead of Clipper fans.

Ive been a Spurs fan for 21 years so yeah I really "jumped on that lucrative bandwagon" there in the 90's when Spurs were getting their ***** handed to them by the Rockets and Jazz (among others). Your never-ending wrong assumptions about people is hilarious. But I guess ignorance is bliss?

At least you admit you're a tool. :lol Not that this should shock anyone here on the board. :lol

Who are you to judge if I'll use me is bandwagoning? I was 7 or 8 years old and to be honest up until then I didn't pay much attention to sports at all other than playing T-Ball. There is no pro team in kansas city. Who am I supposed to follow with no team within at the time 8-10 hours away from me. I'm not like you who the NBA team in my back door (though originally the nuggest in 69-70 almost ended up in KC). I saw Jordan play started following the Bulls and have followed them. I have stuck by them ever since thats 23 years. Thats not bandwagoning as I've never left them. If you think thats being a bandwagon fan fine but it shows you have no clue.

Definition of Bandwagon fan to help you out.
Switches support to whatever team/game/allegiance/belief happens to be successful at the time

I guess. :dunno

How old are you,-30
where were you from,-born and raised in NY
when did you pick the Spurs as your team-1995(the yea I got into NBA)
and why?-Didn't want to be a knicks fan as I always one to stray away from the more common interest of my area, I loved the way David Robinson played, he became my favorite player so I started to like the Spurs a lot. I have stuck with them 100% ever since, even when they were one of the worst teams in the NBA.

In closing, by you calling me a band wagon fan does it hurt my feelings? Noop. just makes me think you're ignorant and assuming, as long as I'm an NBA fan I'll stick with my Spurs, even if they have the worst record (or the best, hey like this year!)

Edit-i won't even entertain the debate about the lottery being "fixed".

He's not too bright. He's one of those people that uses a word and doesnt know what it means. A bandwagoner is someone who changes team based off winning. If we were all bandwagoners like he claims, wouldnt we all be Lakers fan for the moment? That would be the easy thing to do. Most of our teams havent won in years. And there's no guarantee that SA or CHI will win a ring this year. If we do, we'll be damn lucky.

Plus he doesnt even realize he chose his team also. There's this concept called "free will" that he's apparently never heard of. Just because he's from a city doesnt mean he has to like that team. He couldve picked any team. Theres no law that says you have to pick the team from the city you're raised in.

So by him picking the team he was from, he's choosing his team as well. He's no better than us like he thinks he is...

Then good for you. If you guys aren't insulted by my use of the term bandwagon and you think I'm ignorant, good for you, feel free to simply ignore me and don't respond.

On the otherhand, if you think I'm ignorant and you don't take the time to inform me, and respond with a flame, its not going to change my opinion of you and the defensiveness will probably just confirm my thoughts all along.

So I thank all 3 of you for actually bothering to explain your position, so now I won't call you bandwagoners and instead congratulate you on selecting teams that have lived up to your hoped when you picked them. Not so hard there actually taking a moment, was it?

And thanks for the comment above about not being bright, you too have just crossed the line into being ignorant, misinformed and judgemental.

Why in hell would Stern have fixed it so the Spurs got Duncan? It makes absolutely no sense. If that lottery were fixed, Duncan would be a Boston Celtic.

I've never felt the need to explain to anyone why I like Chicago. If someone asks I'll explain as I did. You asked and I explained yet you still called me a bandwagon fan. Either way I love my Bulls and have for 23 years. That won't change until I kick it no matter what anyone thinks.
