NECA: Alien Movie Franchise Figures

I have to agree with bigbisont. I am 99% sure it's going to be a xeno, with that "fearsome figure" description. For a anniversary lootcrate, it makes the most sense to release a figure of an iconic character, and nothing says ALIENS like an Alien. The only human I could see them including would be Ripley, but I doubt it.

Also, as terrible as a solid gold repaint sounds, the magpie in me really likes that idea.

So is this crate outside of the normal monthly Loot Crate rotation, hence the talk of a pre-order?

I just bought the complete series 1 Cinemachines from Neca through their E Bay store, I feel like 4/26 has arrived a little early - lol. It would have been cheaper through BBTS but I didn't want to wait for these, really digging this line.

They are shipping real soon to retailers if not already but Neca Ebay is already selling them. Not sure what scale they are but each is 5" - 6" long.

Funnily enough if this figure turns out to be a repaint, a solid coloured one wouldn't be such a bad idea. Much like the recent prototype Alien we got recently a solid coloured warrior drone wouldn't be that bad of an exclusive to have.

Then again, what if turns out that there are also random colour variants sorted throughout the loot crates and you don't know which one you'll get ?

I personally would not mind some other characters other than the marines make an appearance. Maybe one or two from either 3 or Resurrection just to mix it up a big, and maybe a few reveals of the Kenner Aliens and also maybe a short list of who's likenesses they have gotten.

Big reveals I'm sure they will not reveal until SDCC, but then again NECA themselves are hyping up their Alien Day reveals a lot more on twitter so you think that Randy and co must have some pretty cool stuff lined up if they are so confident in wowing us all.

With it being such a big day I'm sure we'll get a glimpse or maybe a reveal of Vas & Newt and maybe some news on what's coming in the next Aliens wave. An APC would be awesome, but would be huge if it were in scale with their 6" figures. Figure-wise, I just need Vasquez and Drake now to be complete. Would be cool if they released accessory kits for their marines though - I need helmets, but don't want to spend $50 or so dollars for a two-pack, just for the helmet.

An APC would be incredible! How nice would a Marine pack with Helmets and a Sentry gun be? I know they aren't keen on the sentry guns but slap in some helmets in and I bet a lot of people would buy multiples.

Yes on Sentry guns! The 1/6 project never happened, and I would love some. While those scenes in the director's cut were not that essential to the plot (almost all the director's cut scenes were not necessary except for the part about Ripley's daughter), Sentry guns would look badass in the display.

Nice find Staps. I don't have the nostalgic feeling a lot of you have for the Kenner figs. I never collected these figs when I was a kid - I don't remember why... I think it was all about Transformers at the time. So I'm more interested in figures from the film. Finish the damn figures from the film dammit!

What does everyone think of a possibility of the Lambert figure being the one in the Aliens Lootcrate. Probably not since she didn't appear in Aliens, but we know Neca has said she is complete, but they haven't found space in a wave to include her. Thoughts?

She could be given the reasons you just listed but again, the wording of the figure being included in the loot crate makes me think that its going to be an Alien and not a human since its supposed to be fearsome and a human is not very fearsome. My guess is if and when we get Lambert it may well be in either a mixed wave of figures across all the films OR another completely Alien centric wave.
