Overall, love the progress. The advancements far outweigh the shortcomings and I am grateful. I hope we get Drake and Gorman in 2017, but until then I will be content and happy the line has given us what it has.

Fair enough, there's some errors (deleted to shorten quote). However, overwhelmingly, and like your final sentiment and Staps', I'm just grateful to be getting these. Since Apone is seemingly a no-go due to Al Matthews not wanting to be an action figure, my next choices would also be Drake and Gorman.

Drake really feels likely (again, barring disastrous sales of this wave) and is a natural choice since they made Vasquez. Gorman is one I'd love to see even though he isn't one of the troopers in the strictest sense - I just love the arc that character has in the movie. Clean or ''BD'' though....

I would like to see a leather jacket Ripley with a pulse rifle. It would be a fairly easy variant for them to make and would be good for recreating some scenes with Newt.

Nice! I'm thinking about swapping out the left Ripley hand that came with the power loader on my Kenner Ripley to give her better grip on the smart gun. Right now I'm using the clear rubber band from the Hicks 2 pack to hold the handle in place.

Any differences in head sculpt and paint between the Kenner Ripley and the aliens Ripley?

I haven't really compared them side by side but my Kenner Ripley has a perfect paint job on it.as for the rest the scarf and of course the colors are the only difference I noticed.

Finally got around to nearly wrapping up my custom Apone. I still need to paint over the Windrix name on the armor, & touch up paint on his fingers but it's nearly done. This custom was inspired by Kustom Korner's Apone and painted up by the Reverand. The base body is a Kyle Windrix with a helmet and pulse rifle from a 2 pack Hicks. I added a power coupling from the McFarlane Hicks on his webbing, mashed up binoculars from Star Wars parts and I have a holster & pistol as a place holder until I can steal one from an upcoming Frost. I cut the hack pouch off but left the knife in place so obviously it's not accurate but since I don't think Al Matthews will ever grant his likeness it's as close as I could get it.

I posed my Kenner Ripley as a place holder until Vasquez arrives in the last pic - she's gonna Rock!

Sweet - love it! Ripley and some mercs and that dio will be rocking and rolling! Great job, love the vent, barrel, door, flooring and everything! I also love the A3 marking - nice touch.

It would be kinda cool if neca did a one off vehicle pack which includes an exclusive figure, say Ferro with a dropship or Gorman with an APC.

I think the leather jacket version is a given since she appears that way through most of the film. How she will come out if they do it though is up in the air. A best bet would of been a two pack with Newt but since she's the sdcc figure that's gone out the window so I'm guessing it would have to be either a single carded release with a single pulse rifle like the one Hicks uses to teach Ripley how to fire one, or with an additional must have accessory.

I am curious though about the Alien 3 creature pack. We haven't heard much from it since it was initially announced and I thought we would of heard more about it by now. Maybe a packaging preview like they did for the Aliens creature pack or maybe a definite answer to which creatures will be in this one.

Awesomeness!.. now just need a 1/6 version too.. unless Xmas comes early and NECA do a 1/4 scale, with a Xenomorph Warrior to match.. let's Rawk!

I kind of hope if there is a xeno in wave 9 that it is the warrior puppet they used in aliens. Ive always prefered it to the suit.

Yeah, don't get me started on Newt as a SDCC exclusive. NECA says that they will make her available to anyone who wants one so we will see.

Thanks. Nah I am putting all 3 1/4 aliens together , clean on one shelf. I want to keep the statue look with those guys
