Burke with the jacket and flannel shirt vs. suit and Gorman from the Ops battle would be my choice. Incidentally I just found out that William Hope voiced and allowed his likeness to be used in the Alien Isolation game, he played the Marshall. I knew something about him sounded familiar.... I think that if he agreed for his likeness to be used for the game, if NECA asked him to sign off on a figure he would.
Makes me wonder how Sega/Gearbox managed to get ahold of Al Matthews' likeness rights.

...Anyway, I got Frost, Vasquez and the Albino yesterday morning from Cotswolds. I don't have any real use for the drone and will probably try and sell it. As for the other two, I'm probably liking Frost better, even though Vasquez has the better paintwork and fewer detail errors. I'm just really happy to have a VP70 and holster and a helmet with the correctly-coloured cover.

I don't know why Frost's U.S. flag and "Screaming Eagle" insignia are unpainted, though (especially when they went to the trouble of giving him a retooled left upper arm without Windrix's sergeant's stripes). Did Ricco Ross not have those patches on his uniform? Bigbisont already mentioned the additional graffiti on the back of his cuirass, but I can live with that. On the other hand, the shoulder-strap on the ammo bag seems far too short. It is, in fact, effectively impossible to get it looped around the figure's shoulder so it will hang down below the bottom edge of the cuirass, as in the film, but you can work around this by popping the figure apart at the waist and placing the strap around the waist like a belt. Speaking of the strap, it's also curiously twisted in such a manner as to prevent it from ever sitting straight, much like the motion-tracker shoulder-straps. No clue why that was done. The helmet also doesn't seem to want to fit snugly (keeps popping off st the slightest provocation), so I might glue it in place like all my other Marine helmets eventually, and the rather gummy flamethrower is a definite step down from Windrix's model.

All that said though, I'm pleased to have these new additions to my squad, and I'm planning to acquire two or three more Frosts for customising purposes.

I would say there is a good chance of them being re-released and hopefully this time with the flesh injected tone and helmets.

It sure sounds like NECA is seriously considering it. Randy has said as much on Twitter. I really hope we get ultimate versions, flesh injected, removable helmets and alternate Racal head for Hicks.

Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.

Cool, thanks guys. I hope NECA do, I've already purchased the Power Loader, Ripley, Vasquez and Frost.

This line is another slippery slope for me.

Thanks! I added some silver drybrushing to Vasquez's smartgun and repainted everyone's boots to be more screen accurate.

Bishop is hilarious how out of place he is - the paint on his face is terrible, and that diaper makes him look like he too a big crap in his pants before getting sealed into the pipe to align the dish.

Thanks! They are old McFarlane stands from 2003ish. I need to look for more.

Very cool display Reinhardt! I'm glad that we have Bishop but the diaper and the shoulders make him look very disproportionate.

I just ordered a pack of the Neca stands for $10 shipped, for those of you who have them how do they work on the Marines?

Thanks Steve! I'm not crazy about the NECA stands since the peg on them is very thin and not very long (hopefully that's not what she said). I think, but am not certain that they won't support the Marines very well.

For the McFarlane stands, I might have had to drill a small hole in the feet of the Marines if they didn't already have one.

I'd prefer if A) these stands had pegs for both feet and B) the pegs were closer to the perimeters. I find some stands have them so close to the centre that a lot of figures have to stand with one foot on the shelf, I don't really like that.

Bummer about the stands, I figured since they were the Neca stands they would be perfect for their figures.

Agreed on the pegs being closer to the edge. As for 2 pegs, I see where it would be valuable to make the figure even more secure. I think this would only work if the stand came specific to a figure, or if every figure came articulated enough to position both feet on the pegs. Too many of my figures however (McFarlane are notorious for this) don't have enough articulation to get both feet in a particular position.

You'd think! Let us know your experience when you receive them.

I use the the NECA stand for my marines, they plug into the feet just fine and secure, but the ankles on some are so loose they tilt and sometimes fall off and take the stand with them. Also, for wider stances, one foot will be off the stand.

I wish I still had those grey rotating stands that came with some of the Spawn figures, they had holes and removable pegs and were really nice.

My Marines (and androids, and civilian advisors, and big, bald, albino basketball players...):

Thanks for the compliments, guys. :)

I have 2-3 custom Marines in the works as well. Just need to get a couple more Frost figures for parts (helmets, pistols/holsters, ammo bags, grenades). Might take a while, though. They haven't really started hitting Canada yet and overseas shipping from most sellers is absolutely exorbitant.

Anyway, here's a (very early) WIP one of them:

Great display Jester!

Regarding the NECA stands I use them on all my Aliens figures (those that are compatible) including the Marines.

They are OK and do help to add some stability at first, however like someone else said you'll notice the ankle joints will become very loose very quickly by using them.

In fact pretty much as soon as you push the peg into the peg hole you'll notice the start of the ankle joint loosening.

On glass display cabinets they do look nice and add something that makes the figures look more premium.

Other than that Neca will get some amusement out of you trying to use it on a Ripley figure.
