Great work on that diorama Matt, Neca really needs to do Taylor and Brent slave as will as Nova so you can do the reenactment of Taylor setting off the bomb.

Neca's doing a great job on the apes figures but I wish they would do diorama's or playsets on the level that Mcfarlane is currently doing with the Walking Dead.

Big THANKS to everyone for all your great feedback I appreciate it all!!! I'm excited to finish it up and reveal the diorama live with all the figures everything, hopefully in a month or so. And also to being a fan I'm 32 and have been a HUGE ape fan as a young child back in the late 80's early 90's...I remember when I was 11 being excited that the tv station USA was having a ape marathon the day after thanksgiving back in 1994. Back then T.v was much different no dvrs and Netflix lol. long live the APES!!!

What? McFarlane doesn't have a single playset for their 5" figures. They have the knock off Legos, but that wouldn't do any good here.

McFarlane technically does have one 5" Dio out ( Daryl's Bike) and one coming this fall, which is Morgan and walker killing wall( pointed log barricade).

I wouldn't count either of those as a diorama to be blatantly honest; the bike is nothing of the sort and the trap is a glorified accessory at best.

Howdy, been lurking a while. I joined to share my Lawgiver numbers, which numbers did you all get? I got #s 17, 18, 115, and 117 from Toys R Us(I think they got the first batch).

I have two more on the way eventually from entertainmentearth, I think I'll stop at 6. I hope it sells out soon so we might see the bloody one at SDCC, otherwise I'm gonna have to just get some red paint from Walmart.

I mean, as someone who makes dioramas (when time is kind to me haha), things like the bike or the walker trap do as you say, boost a project. You can center a diorama about a larger piece like this, but on it's own it isn't more than a big accessory.

For example the bike complements Daryl on the shelf, but it does not tell a story or depict a scene. A slice of road with Daryl riding the bike featuring walkers littered about, with a road sign with warnings painted on it? That's a diorama that tells a story.

Or what about a taxidermied animal, standing about next to a wax Hunter statue? That's what it is, a taxidermied animal next to a hunter. Place it in a museum depicting it's natural habitat, and you have a full on scene.

Just gotten hold of the 'retro' Taylor. What a fantastic sculpt! - It's ludicrous that Neca haven't used a smaller version of this on the main line! the rights to use Chuck's likeness from the Heston estate must have cost a fortune, why not exploit it! - Have Neca ever given a definitive answer as to why no Taylor in the main figure line? If its because "Human figures don't sell.." what about all the Marines, Bishop, Dallas, Kane, etc in the aliens line.... they all seem to sell pretty well.....

I mean we're talking about the primary protagonist here! it looks like this line will die with a massive gaping hole in it.

I totally agree they should make Taylor in the 7 inch line! If you look at the predator line, the Dutch figure is the most popular figure. Even Nova would be super popular if you look at medicom nova figures on ebay the u go for like 50 bucks. So who knows, Neca should just release an exclusive 2 pack with them both!

They were pictures of a Julius test shot. Along with his cigar and key, it looks like he comes with change out arms so you can have him with or without sleeves!

I guess that means I'll probably buy two!

Also as a pleasant surprise, Randy referred to Julius as being part of Wave 4 and NOT a "potential" figure like Urko and Veska.

So... does this mean we are getting a Wave 4?

Also on Twitter, Randy stated that Classic Wave 3 will be a Comic Con exclusive and a shared retail exclusive. He said that the details will be known next month.

I'm hoping one of the retail outlets for these figures will be their eBay store... making it easier for us Ape fans to snag a set!

Hi All,

Here is some WIP of Luca he is 80% complete, I have almost completed the painting and weathering by using so far Vallejo paints. The M60 is from the old Marvel Punisher figure and the rounds are from a 1/6 German machine gun.

I wasnt really bothered about the Conquest figures, I was just really after Aldo, then later (Hopefully) Julius. But if these go Comicon/Retailer exclusive, I don't have a chance in hell of getting any of them over here in the UK without an unaffordable price Hike. I think I should just pretty much say goodbye to the line right here. Its a shame. it was a hell of a ride while it lasted.
