i like the pose(s) on the McF, its a better pose then the SSC Maquette but, just too top heavy..still those were the days, there was nothing better then that out for Predator and Aliens.

oh yes MF aliens and predators were my first figures at all, my first purchases. i even thought that MF P2 was quite normal when first got him %)
it will be funny to go from MF through HT and to return to those simple figures with Neca predators.
...if they make them small.

Tankman watch this video pls;
(the most important scene comes after the Alien)

Tell me you find it ok ? All I want to do is cry all time, like my 18" Alien, lol.

Anyway, thx for all the great Figures you made in the past, Neca can really be proud that you work for them.

Thanks and I feel the same way about the 18 inch Predator. I hope it will happen.

Hey Kyle - can you elaborate on what you said the other day about 'hopefully more Alien stuff still to come later'?

Also - did you sculpt the T-1000?

Not sure if you mean if they only make them small, but these figures are going to be 7" releases
this is what i wish most of all, because i need at last some predators to neca aliens 1-2, and because i prefer this size overall for alien & predator figures.

I did most the T1000 and Sam Lute worked on it also. He is a huge Terminator fan and I let him work on it for a few weeks while I got started on the Predator. Right now we aren't working on any Alien Stuff. Randy and I both want to make the Queen but the boss has to say OK. With NECA you never really know what will happen but it seems to me most everything I ever wanted seems to happen. I can tell you I'm aways way geeked out and the job has been really great.

Well they look to be fantastic figures, well done. We're a bit confused about the Split-head version though. Will that be released exactly as it is? Its just that somewhere it was reported that that is the 'motorcycle cop' version...which it clearly is not. Are there any T-1000 figures due to represent his appearance in the second half of the film? A lot of people want the 'real' motorcycle cop version but I myself am focussed more on the steel mill version which should have the pants and boots left over from the motorcycle outfit. It'd be great to get these too since the T-800 has been so thoroughly covered for his appearances throughout the entire film.

hey, he sculpted a predator with a removable plasma caster.

it sure would be nice to finally have a predator with that feature.
especially since the predator took it off before taking off his mask in the movie.

every unmasked predator figure made so far has had that big inaccurate detail.
so, now neca knows what to do with the unmasked version of the figure! yay!

I'd love to know why there's so much difference between the pose for the McF and the NECA, if there was direction from McF to be more dynamic looking or choice. The two just seem very different, yet are the same sculptor.

Poses aside, years have past since that figure and he has gotten better. This new one just destroys the old one.

Also, McFarlane didn't care for accuracy. Look at the Alien proto compared to the final release.

Absolutely the details are better in the sculpt, but I think someone's choice has more to do with the pose than sculpting skill and I'm just curious what the thought processes were behind them.

Hey Tankman, if your there I just wanted to say the new Predator figures you guys have coming out are beautiful. You nailed the Alien so well, and you hit the ball clean into orbit yet again with this classic Predator. I want to say thanks to you and everyone at NECA for giving us fans such amazing figures of the characters that we love.

I also wanted to ask if you know, or can say, how the three classic Predator head variants will be released. Will it be like the Wolf, where each unique head on a body was considered an individual seperate figure released over 2 or 3 waves, or like the Predalien with the open/closed mandibles or the blue/brown Warrior Alien, where the figures were released at once and you just had the luck of the draw when you had to order them online and couldn't specify which one you wanted.

I hope you release them the same way you did the Wolf, so we can all order the specific variants we want (but of course I will get all 3!:D)

I remember an interview more than a few years back where Todd McF stated that he gives final approval to all poses himself.
He wanted the poses to be as dynamic as possible and though there were some articulation on the figures, he considered them to be more like statues and didn't really want the customers tampering with the poses he had chosen?
Sounds kinda goofy, doesen't it? He made all these toys but didn't want anyone else to play with them...
