newsflash, stupid: obsessing about anything toys related is dumb and pathetic. mulling over inane minute details in sculpt accuracy or possible accessories for hundreds of pages is no less dumb than discussing about poa on a proto. this thread is already reaching 50 pages and the toys aren't even out yet, that alone says there are lots of useless posts in here already. but that's why we're in a toy forum, right?

I'm waiting to see what the performance is like of the new Predators before getting to interested in figures, I can admire a design but to spend money, I definitely need to enjoy them in the move and not just admire the look in a still.

They do not put joints on the 2ups. This is a fact I thought everyone knew? Sure, they might make a line, or a cut where there WILL be Articulation....but you cannot move it.

I collect because I have an attachment to the subject. I've made some buys in the past where the visual was wow to me, but then I end up regretting it because it's money I don't have for something I really care about. Predator Elder wins points with me because of being based off the original Predator design. I really like that design and really liked the original Predator, so even thought the P2 Elder didn't do much, he essentially looks like an aged P1, so I'm still interested in him.

you know, I never knew how popular Elder Pred was until I got on these boards. I was surprised so many people consider him to be their favorite Pred. Me, personally, I still don't care much for him. I sold my Elder Pred after a couple months of owning him so I doubt I'll be getting this Neca Elder Pred. But I'm definitely getting 2 P1's. 1 for my office and 1 for my home

I've got the impression people favor the Hot Toys figure of the Elder more so than the actual film design, I definitely agree of all the Predators HT's ever made, it's one of their best.

maybe, but i definitely got it because it's my favorite predator. i'll be getting the neca one too.
in fact, if neca made a 1:6 elder (they won't) i'd sell my ht one just because tankman's is more accurate from the neck down.

That really is one of their best Predators to date. I wish I would have gotten him now. But I didn't and he is not cheap anymore.

I am also really looking forward to this neca 1/6 P1 though. Sculpt is spot on

no. neca has never made any 1:6 predators/aliens and they're pretty hard-headed about it.
we'll be lucky if a 18" scale version gets made. but, it'll probably just be the 7" figures.

Hmm, fair enough, can't please everybody. Though if they don't come out with 18" ones a lot of people will be pissed since their Giger Aliens won't have a buddy.
