Someone once asked me what I thought was the best scene in AvP:R? I said the end credits :lol

I remember being entertained by avpr in the theater. I liked it so much I went again with my friends.
I went and bought it the first day it came out. Thinking it was going to be awesome :lol everything looked so clear in theaters

So they mixed Indiana Jones with Predators and Aliens.

The dudes that made that movie ain't no lazy talentless hacks in Hollywood either, but just maybe writing directing isn't their cup of tea. :lol

The Indy whip is why I brought up Indy.

I was referring to their respected work in the field of visual and special effects.

Yeah, they'll never be allowed to direct another full length feature film ever again. :lol

I don't think people are dying for a Skyline 2. :lol

/\ Thank You

Is that the unrated version. :lol

Ok, so not a complete disaster in the Predator-Alien scenes as I was expecting.

I'm sure the movie inbetween those action scenes are a complete disaster though.

That Predator, Wolf was it, was pretty bad ass.

Predalien wasn't as bad ass, but still cool nonetheless. His acid didn't seem to work so well, what the...

I don't feel the movie is worth owning though, when I need my Predator and Alien fix I just pop in the masterpieces, Predator 1 and Alien/Aliens.

I will be revisting Alien 3 Extended really soon.

Bring on the hate but I still state that AVPR is better than Predators. I'd rather watch AVPR over Preds any day. Atleast Wolf gave me something to root for. Both films were a complete mess but the Strause Bros should have never been hired in the first place and were well out of the depth, especially with a studio like Fox pulling the strings. Preds on the other hand; Rodriguez from the start claimed everything was going to be bigger and better when in fact NO, none of it was!

all Rodriguez did was add his name to it,
he didn't write it and he didn't direct it. he really didn't do anything besides marketing it and do some of the effects. I really really don't understand why not just direct it himself. He said something like he wanted a fresh view on it but that was his mistake

the guy that directed Predators just did a Predator 1 spiritual remake, that's why it sucks.

I never knew people hated Predators so much :lol. I thought it was a decent enough movie, for a soft reboot of the franchise. I didn't particularly like how the Classic Pred was defeated so easily by the bad bloods. But, it did have some cool moments, like the scene where the Yakuza guy faced off against the Falconer in a fight to the death.

I think AVPR suffered too much from horrible lighting and terrible human characters. Although, the Wolf Pred and Pred-Alien more than made up for it in the last fight scene.

first they cast a runt to take the lead.
and the supposed "super" predaturds cant even deal with the runt.

The problem with Predators is that it's not loved or hated. It's just kinda' forgettable after time and doesn't add anything to the franchise like P1, P2 and Wolf have.

Predators had very cliche bad guys as their main characters, although I thought Brody did an ok job with Royce, that fact that thet were all bad people with no chemistry or friendships between them meant we all wanted to see them die anyway. And that fact that two Preds died easily within five minutes of eachother! There was no-one to root for.

In regards to AvPR most people's main complaint is 'it's too dark!', yet it would be a lot easier to reel off a list of everything wrong with Predators than it would be with AvPR.

I still find it hilarious that the Strause Bros made accounts on AvPGalaxy (alien versus predator forum) to whine and argue with members that were bashing AvP:R, and that they even stated their movie was better than Predator 2. :rotfl

I have that thread saved on my old computer somewhere, it's a good read! :lol They said that Fox cut the budget from certain areas during filming. I'm not making an excuse for the Brothers but there were many others at fault too; FOX, Davis, Salerno etc...

Predators is mediocre, but it's still a much better film than the horrendous AVP:R. They're not even close to being in the same category on any technical or creative level, whatsoever.
