Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I just pm'd you this link. :lol

I only want Linx from this. I don't need another ship nor a Doctor that is virtually identical to the 11 docs set version... We'll see though. I do have a way of changing my mind about this stuff.

:lol

Despite the inaccuracies I do like the ship so I'll soon have a pair of shiny, textured balls..............on my shelf :p

Hopefully the next Classic Sontaran is an "Invasion of Time" version in a 2-pack with Leela.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Yeah, 11 and Amy are really nice, but the likenesses on the rest are pretty dodgy. I bet they were working off of scans of Matt and Karen.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

The pose and the costume are great. But yeah, the likeness is too cartoony. Not sure if it is sculpt, the paint app, the photo washing details or all of the above.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

It actually appears to be a good likeness, you can really tell in the third pic that Tom is in there. It's just really poor paint.

I like everything up to the neck, then i cant see any Tom in it i just see some odd looking guy in makeup especially in the 4th pic. I do plan to get the 11th statue since it looks really good its just a shame the doctors that have followed have been pretty poor.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Compared with other busts in the same sort of price range the ones of the actual Doctors are poor except for Smith.

On the one hand it's nice that there's plenty of new Classic merchandise around but on the other it's disappointing that the higher priced stuff is so hit & miss.

Is there anyone here in need of a 9th/10th Doctor era TARDIS?

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I wouldn't mind a TARDIS for my Eccleston bcm, i 'acquired' my current one from work and its a bit of a state.

I was planning to sell the Tom from the Sontaran set but it was in a god awful state, the vest was about half a centimetre hanging from the chest which couldn't be resat by pushing it, the paint application is so brutally done it has no actual pattern and to help matters the head came off revealing that the post to keep the head on had popped down so the head was kind of sat on top where any movement of force would knock it off. Since i didn't really want it the hassle of sending it back was a little much, i used the scarf to try an idea to create a new dynamic pose with one part slung over the shoulder.

Mine should just need a new set of batteries and a dust down...£18 shipped OK?

Sorry about your Tom figure, the QC on the Who figures has been slipping quite a bit which is a concern for future ones.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

It's been hit and miss with CO, couldn't be happier with Styre though which is all I really wanted I just couldn't sell the Ton in the state it was in and feel fair. £18 for the Tardis sounds great, i'd be happy to take it off your hands.

Awesome! it's been stuck in a drawer for ages and I'd sooner recycle it to make a bit of cash towards something else.........new shelves would be a good idea :)

Just needs a Leela figure to be perfect.

Who knows, we might even get one once all the Dalek molds have finally crumbled to dust.
