Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

To say "boil and pop" is a bit of an understatement. I boiled and pulled and pulled and boiled and pulled until it eventually came loose. There was never a "pop!". :lol

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Conan O'Brian... Orville Reddenbacher.. who's next? Erkle?

The dude from Twilight? ( Smith's hair is similar )

BTW Nice work on smiley Tom, as well as my "Planet of Evil" 4th Doctor I have had all the bits seperated to do such a hair swap for quite some time but every time I set aside some time to finish everything I end up getting sidetracked :banghead

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Great news from gallifrey base!!!!

fantastic news!!!

I've just come off the phone from a long, very interesting and exciting conversation with one of my friends at co. I've been given permission to reveal some of this year's upcoming exclusives - okay, get ready for some massive excitement!

Sdcc: Big finish style 8th doctor (i don't know what colour exactly though, but based on a popular cover artwork outfit), krynoid, robot 4th doctor alternative outfit (this sounds like rubbish i know, but wait and see ;)), amy pond in police uniform (to see whether there's a big enough market for there to be more new series related exclusives), and the kandyman with a accessory i'm not allowed to discuss yet. (us winkers have special powers you see matt, ;))

post sdcc exclusives: Bessie with a frontier in space green 3rd doctor, revenge cyberman, and a remembrance mccoy with the first ever co classic companion release - ace. Co and ut have realised that there is a fair chance that classic companions can sell well, so one of the most popular characters, with one of the most interesting outfits, has been chosen. If ace is successful, then the next release will likely be leela, with a robot's of death 4th doctor.

Oh, and there's a possibility of a 10th doctor era wave coming out in the autumn, which, amongst 5 others and a baf, (likely the lazarus monster) includes a figure i doubt will sell very well, but will please a very small minority of fans - a series 4 rose.

:)

I just realized this might be an April Fool's joke. :(

I just realized this might be an April Fool's joke. :(

Anyone who is a Doctor Who collector who lies about things people are dying for as a joke deserves death, particularly since CO is always so tight lipped. All it would do is garner hatred towards him. Sontaran Cybermen usually has contacts, so it may be legit. We will see...

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

...Technically it's April 1 in the UK already. Plus Billie said she wouldn't sign the likeness rights, and I really doubt CO changed their mind on companions.

Yeah, and it's not even remotely convincing.

Should hell freeze over and CO make a sensible and logical decision with the Classic line and decide to test the waters with a companion figure there's no chance in hell the first one won't be from the most popular era which as much as his fans would like to think isn't Sly's.

CO's pecking order for the Classics so far is, ( rightly )

1.Tom

2.Jon/Pat

3.Everyone else ( with Colin and Sly fighting for last place. )

The suggestion of there being 5 SDCC Exclusives = Totally ridiculous, especially the notion that an all new mold would be among them.

It's also been known for ages that fish lips won't allow any more figures to be made of her as that's why the neutrally posed series 1 Rose wasn't released so I can't see many people doing anything other than treating this "news" with anything other than utter contempt.....I think there's a wrong letter used when the poster describes himself as a winker.

This is no joke:

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Bye Bye 7th Doctor/TARDIS pre-order! :D

What's most suprising is that the TARDIS is actually different to Sly's as I thought CO would just rehash the same one for all the Classic Doctors.

The description of the 4th Doctor is inaccurate as for a "Planet of Evil" version you need the torso from the "Pyramids of Mars" version and the one pictured is just the series 12 one that's been released twice already which kinda sucks as the rumors were that we'd get a season 18 version but I'm not going to let it take away from the awesomeness of Tom getting his actual TARDIS.

Assuming of course FP aren't messing with us all.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

If it were a variant Tom I would prolly by it but as it is I like the look of the Sylv TARDIS better.

Cash permitting I'd get both but May is already an expensive month for me so much like his TV series Sly gets cancelled :D

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

See I actually I setting the Sylv TARDIS as a higher priority. It looks more iconic and it can be used with more Doc figs. Plus it's cheaper than the Tom version. I was really hoping for the series 18 set.

It's cheaper for you? It's the same price for me which is why I've dropped FP a message telling them to just change my order over.

I think I'll probably get the other one if it's still available the following month as more than one Classic TARDIS would be nice especially with them actually being different molds but for me Tom related stuff will always take priority even if it means owning yet another series 12 figure ( I already have 3 ).

As they don't seem to know maybe I should finish my "Planet of Evil" custom and show FP what the pack in figure should actually look like?

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Oops I read it wrong. I could have sworn when I first looked on the FP page it said 44.99 instead of 34.99.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Total bolt from the blue, this one!!

Was content enough with the Sly TARDIS so to be gifted with my ideal and most fondly remembered version (in a set, no less!!) is just icing. Cannot wait and praise be to CO!!

To be honest I'd never really noticed any of the differences between the Classic and Nu-Who TARDIS props aside from the more obvious ones until I read about them online.

I certainly never expected CO to make more than the one and when Sly's was confirmed I thought that would be reused for any other Classic Doctor/TARDIS sets so this was a big suprise and very welcome seeing as Tom is THE Doctor as far as I'm concerned.
