Venkman has a huge forehead. I think the Matty one looked a little better.

The line still looks good though, Peck and Janine look pretty solid.

I saw quarter scale statues, I haven't heard anything about 1/6

I just read that article as new stuff rather than continuations. I do not read that necessarily as the Ecto-1 for our existing Mattel figure nor do I read that as a movie replica proton pack for our existing proton gun. One can hope I guess.

Well, the new figures are 6' inches and the Ecto 1 will be for those 6'' inch figures, which includes the "new" classic figures, so they'll probably make two vehicles. It won't be the same as the one they had planned a year ago with the lights and the sound effects, but hopefully it looks as good as the Adam West retail Batmobile.

I really don't understand how 1/6 haven't been made. I can't believe them not being anything but a success. I'm glad I went ahead with the custom route, but would love a set of licensed figs.

That 1/4 scale Venkman would be mine if I collected statues or 1/4. But the price is pretty steep. Looks damn good though.

I would imagine Mattel are holding on to their 1:6 license.

Love the Venkman sculpt on that statue... But I hate statues. Wish someone would prise the 1/6 licence from Mattel's cold, dead hands.

I wasn't planning on buying any of the new Diamond Select Ghostbuster figures when I saw their retail price was $25, but I was in TRU today and they had wave 1 for $13 each. I picked up Winston, Ray, and Louis.

I have the Matty 12" figures on display with my Hot Toys, so I'll probably keep all these sealed. And the TRU price on these is great. BBTS and EE both want $66 for the set of 3, and it was only $40 at TRU.

Those look great! I prefer that TRU packaging over the regular big box Diamond uses. Too bad my TRU sucks, so I'll have to buy the big oversize box
