karamazov80, thanks for posting the photos of Vartal's unpainted Ray head. It does look really good...Better than I thought. Really great Aykroyd likeness. I just think it needs a bit more hair sculpted on the top to get that 'high hair' look he had in GB...but the face sculpt looks GREAT!
As for my GB 12" Ray with the switched-out flight-suit, here it is! Still needs a little futzing (might be a tiny bit 'too' padded...but it looks better on a TT...for now it's on the Mattel body until I get Spencer's repainted heads in...) Also still needs to be dyed to the more green/grey of the suits in the film...it's still too tan/taupe. Then I'll add the nametag and the GB logo to the sleeve! Anyways, here is the WIP so far...
To milk the fans for as much money as possible. Same reason for releasing Peck first. The most desirable figure of the whole line will probably be "clean" Venkman. As such, people will be less interested in the line as a whole once they pick up the entire "clean" crew. So, they save their big guns for later.i dont friggin believe this, WHY would they release a slimed version and not just a regular version???
That flight suit does look good. I bet it would look even better on a slightly smaller body.

yeah it does look really good. esp after it has been dyed slightly and the patches on then put on a hot toys bod with less padding.
Thanks guys! The suit really does look great...it looks even better in person. It is still a bit over-padded...I sort-of did that on purpose to 'stretch and shape' the suit when I water-treated it...It also does look WAY better on the narrow-shoulder TT than it does on the Mattel body. Not as tight.
teabelly, it'll definitely look really cool once it's dyed, has the patches and yellow leg hose on and is switched to the TT!
I won't be switching it to the TT until after I get Spencer's heads back from Josh all painted up. That probably won't be for a few months though, so this'll have to do for now.
As for the flight suit, I'll check again to see which one it is and get back to you...it's a newer one though. I just liked how the chest pockets looked more like the one's on the screen-used suits...and the velcro straps around the waist are more 'appropriately' scaled too!
wow that is weird mate, no ididnt pay import charges. weird. im in the uk too. sorry to hear that..
6" and 12" Ray arrived today YAY!!!
No charges though ???
I did notice though that mine had a Deutche post mark on it, do you think they're getting shiped to Europe depot then over to us in the UK,
not that I'm complaining mind you
Kindest regards
Tys
cool mate, glad u got em. worth the wait ! not long and egon and winston will be ready to order hehe.
Yeah they're great,
I have to say that even though I normally collect Hot Toys and a couple of the Sideshow lines,I'm actually really Impressed with 12" Ray,
the packaging for a MIB collector like me is awesome (although i am now considering gettign a loose set of these guys.....Gulp)
I just like the overall package, the white collectors box, followed by the neat fitting plastic box inside works really well I think,
And yes now counting down to Egon and Winston
Kindest regards
Tys
i asked this before, but how are the "wands" for the 6" figures? are they VERY soft or like more bendy? thats what they look like. will they break easy or pretty durable?
is there anything you can coat or dip the wands in, like to make them more solid? i was thinking coating them in like super glue or something. do you know anything that would work?
